Wheelwright's Cottage was ideal for our needs - safe area for our dogs, very clean and well equipped. The owners are friendly, unobtrusive and helpful. We know and have always loved the area. The new vineyard just down the road was a happy find and we look forward to tasting our choices. Halesworth, the nearest place to shop, is well provided - excellent, large Co-op e.g. and interesting shops in other areas of the town. Rumburgh has an excellent and fascinating network of footpaths and, of course, the coast just a few miles away, is magnificent.

Our 3rd visit to this beautiful cottage. We keep going back as it offers peace and tranquility with the comforts of a wonderfully appointed cottage. Katherine and Stuart are really welcoming and on hand if you need anything. The surrounding area is full of delights. Highlights for us this visit were Dunwich beach,St Peters Brewery and crabbing at Walberswick. Wonderful memories made.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Equipment was good and everything in the kitchen worked. Some of the Windows needed minor repairs, otherwise it was in good order. Outside the exterior could have been better garden wise. The owners garden next door was messy and spoilt the view a little. We enjoyed a good few days in a pleasant, quiet location. The welcome pack was good.

Lovely cottage in a countryside location which is great for dog walking ( take an OS map of the area & you're spoilt for choice of footpaths). Cottage was clean, well equipped and the hosts live next door & are very helpful. The welcome pack was a nice touch. We visited Southwold, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness & Dunwich areas & again, with an OS map we managed to walk the dog off the lead for most of time. Rumburgh only really has a pub, which we visited once and had a nice meal. A nice area of the country, and I would recommend the cottage.

Wheelwright's Cottage is a peaceful haven in the lovely village of Rumburgh. Locals (and our hosts next door) are extremely friendly and the pub Rumburgh Buck is well worth a visit. We were made most welcome. The cottage itself was full of character and had everything possible for a comfortable stay. The bottle of wine, loaf of bread, flapjack and whole milk were much appreciated as the welcome pack, and we knew we had made the right choice. We would definitely return.

This is a very nice cottage,in a peaceful location that has been decorated, equiped and maintained to a high standard. It is warm, cosy and welcoming even in the worst weather conditions . The facilities are excellent and the owners are helpful plus there are some nice touches including a welcome pack of basic of provisions and a bottle of wine. We throughly enjoyed a relaxing week as did our Boxer who appreciated the secure space at the front and rear of the property. There are lots of places in the area to visit and the coast only 8 miles away at Southwold .

We enjoyed a restful week at Wheelwright's Cottage. The cottage itself has been so well restored and fitted out that we loved staying there with our elderly dog. The furniture and fittings are of a high standard, as are the plumbing and heating. The owners had also put a lot of thought and effort into dressing the rooms. We felt at home immediately and were very pleased to find such a gem only 1 hour away from home! As usual, I'd been over-ambitious when planning where to go and what to do. There are so many lovely places within quick and easy reach along the coast that we only got halfway down the list. That gives us a good excuse for visiting Suffolk again soon.
