We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wheal Metal Lodge ,so much thought and care had been taken in equipping the lodge I can not think of anything it did not have and it was so clean and well presented. The location was great, quiet but not isolated and convenient for exploring this lovely part of Cornwall

We had a fantastic week! The Lodge was exactly as described on the website. It was such a relaxing and comfortable home for our holiday. Gary has thought of everything. It's one of the best cottages we have ever used. The flowers and cream tea on arrival were a lovely touch. Everywhere was immaculate and the attention to detail was very impressive. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We have used self catering cottages for many years. This is by far the best equipped cottage and in a quiet and secluded location. The lodge is very clean and the owner very pleasant but not intrusive. Very much a home from home. I could live here.

The photos on the website don't do this lodge justice, its far far better, very clean, very comfortable. The only comment I would make is the site entrance is easy to miss, otherwise excellent, local pubs fine, Helston just a few minutes away for other shopping if required. Very quite, the onsite tin mine tower is being restored at present.

Wheal metal lodge is of the highest standard that we have stayed in. It is in its own self contained garden which is spacious and full of wildlife to watch when you are relaxing . It's peaceful and just what you need to get away from it all. It's so comfortable to come home too after a day of exploring the many attractions that are within easy reach from the lodge. The welcoming cream tea and flowers on arrival adds that special touch. We would certainly recommend it to anyone and will definitely return in the future.

An ideal base for exploring the far west of Cornwall with many National Trust properties and stunning coastline in easy reach. Cream tea on arrival was very welcome. Property itself is spacious and fitted to a very high standard with a lovely garden so you can laze on site if you want! The Queens Arms in Breage is the nearest local with friendly atmosphere and great food. Porthleven is in easy reach with many cafes and restaurants. Overall a great holiday and would book again.
