The cottage was a great place to discover Edinburgh. It was well equipped and comfortable. In a very quiet area and within easy reach of the city and surrounding areas. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to spend time in the Scottish capital.

Probably not in the poshest area but the location was ideal for Edinburgh... 15 min on the bus from end of the road. Cottage itself was very nice, our only comment would be is that it is really only for a couple. With the pull down settee/bed being in the kitchen dining area meant that there is a lack of privacy if you have another couple or an older child. Having said that we would definitely recommend it for a couple only.... very comfortable, very warm and good location

The cottage is very nice between 30-45 minutes away from Edinburgh which we found ate in to the day. Most of the cottage was clean but we were disappointed to find an old takeaway sausage inside the microwave on our arrival (see photo below) this means that they do not clean the microwave and for what is ment to be a high standard cottage I would expect more. I text the owner about this matter in detail and the response was I can not receive photos on my phone. As that was the only response I got I will never stay again as I think that was appalling.

we cannot get anything better than such a good property ( considering the price ) and cooperation from the owner.

We really enjoyed our stay at Westland Cottage, it is a little gem, peaceful, quiet and very comfortable. It is within easy reach of Edinburgh and its attractions, we personally found it better to use public transport. I am sure if we had used the car, parking may have been a little difficult and parking charges probably out weighed bus fares. It is quite small but, adequate for two people and if we were in that area again would not hesitate to use it or recommend to friends and family.

Liked the cottage and closeness to Edinburgh. Could do with a more thorough clean. The bed was very hard. Outside furniture tired.

'Bijou' cottage ideal for 2 people. Pity that there is no dishwasher, but we eat out mostly anyway.

A good location to get to Town, local amenities are also good. Would certainly use the Cottage again.

We found the cottage larger than we expected. It was very clean and welcoming. The shower is excellent, however the bath base is very slippery, so we bought an, in shower mat, which we left as a gift. It's location near to the shops and a nice pub 400 yards away. We also used the bar in the bowling club just over 100 yards on the left. The staff and members were most welcoming when we told rhem we were on holiday. The car was parked outside the cottage, found it challenging to turn around in tight space. Bus service to city centre very good.

Ideal for a couple, but would be very cramped for 4. Car parking right by the front door is good. WiFi worked flawlessly. Bath and shower is a nice surprise in a compact cottage. Central Heating is user controllable, which is excellent. Needs a dishwasher rather than a washing machine (in my opinion). Otherwise, a comfortable base to visit Edinburgh.
