Warwick Castle is just minutes away from this Grade II listed cottage, with beams, ancient timbers and secluded garden.

This delightful Grade II listed cottage is situated just a few minutes’ walk from the magnificent castle, within the heart of historic Warwick. Dating back to the 1500s, the cottage has been carefully modernised to retain its period character with ancient timbers, and even original pick axe marks still visible in the stone walls of the cellar. Tastefully furnished and well equipped, this idyllic, cosy, holiday hideaway is only a short stroll from a wide selection of shops and restaurants. Although adjoining another property, the cottage has its own secluded, pretty garden in which to relax after a busy day’s sightseeing in Stratford (10 minutes), Leamington Spa or Kenilworth. Shops 100 yards.

Eight steps to entrance. Charming beamed living room with sofa-bed (for +1). Spacious beamed fitted kitchen with Belfast sink. Two steps leading to dining room/conservatory with door to garden. Steep, narrow steps to cellar. First floor: Attractive double bedroom with TV, brass and iron bedstead (child’s airbed available on request, alternative sleeping only). Bathroom with corner bath, shower attachment and toilet.

The parking was made difficult by less than obliging neighbours. There wasn't a Wifi connection and the TV had limited channels. However, the cottage, though small was very clean and cosy. The owner left us with coffee, milk and sugar plus and nice cake as a welcome and is planning to speak to the neighbours with regard to the parking.

    Response from: administrator

Response on behalf of the owners; As shown in previous comments, most guests do not find parking to be a problem, particularly as a permit is also provided. However, had it been mentioned at the time, I would have been happy to let the neighbours know you were having difficulties. I am surprised you expected there to be satellite TV and WiFi as the cottage is not advertised as having either of these, although I am currently arranging to have WiFi installed for future guests. I am disappointed you felt the cottage warranted a score of only 5 for the above reasons as I make every effort to make it as comfortable and pleasant as possible - but can only hope it will be seen within the context of previous scores.

An excellent location for a peaceful break. Despite being on the main road it was quiet inside the cottage. Within a 10 minute amble to the centre of Warwick all amenities were available. We found plenty of things to do within a 30 minute drive. Parking was not an issue as the provided permit allowed street parking within 30 metres even when there were events at the Castle.

A beautiful little cottage terrace, the perfect get away for two! The cottage has everything you could need for a lovely stay, great kitchen, little conservatory and gorgeous garden. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, giving us tips and being on hand if we needed anything. We would highly recommend staying and will be telling our friends!

A charming cottage, well located, with lots of little touches that show the owner cares. Had a good mid week break. The parking outside the cottage is difficult and we were only able to use it for loading and unloading - our Mondeo was too big to be parked there. However we were always able to find a parking space within 200 yards with the permit provided.

Excellent all round - a gem of a garden, lovely house, fantastic position, great weather, no need to use the car- all contributed to a relaxing get away. No problem with traffic noise or parking.
