Brilliant base for family holiday - WiFi and local birds meant that even our city dwelling teenagers survived in this lovely quiet cottage! The cottage provided a comfortable and well equipped home from home. We did a lot of walking - taking part in the Teesdale Walking Challenge - and many of the routes went past the cottage which meant we could leave the car at home. Plenty of good walks but other things to do fairly locally - will definitely return to the area and hopefully to West Tofts.

This cottage is tucked out of the way of the world - so much so that there are deer and rabbits wandering around the fields just outside the windows. A beautiful part of the world, and a lovely home to rest up in and enjoy life. A minor criticism is that, although there was a dvd player there were no discs for it. Books were also limited to mostly "womens" items, no real games for kids or teens either. We will certainly be looking at staying again in the future.
