There are walks to be taken from the door, quiet roads to explore by bicycle. The area is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, High Force waterfall is close by. The magnificent Bowes Museum in nearby Barnard Castle has fine art treasures and within an easy drive the world heritage site of Durham Cathedral is worthy of a visit. The pub in Mickleton has a restaurant within  walking distance and nearby the market town of Middleton in Teesdale provides local shopping, pubs and tea rooms. This is also a perfect holiday property to explore Swaledale, Wensleydale and the Lake District

    A lovely, spacious cottage, with beautiful views in a peaceful setting. Wonderful places to walk and visit, and all the amenities needed close by.
