Ideal base to explore

This former farm house at West Boundary Farm has been thoughtfully converted into two bright and comfortable holiday cottages (ref. 27557 and ref. 27558). An interconnecting door between the two cottages means that they can either be enjoyed independently or as one larger holiday home. Situated down a private lane on the outskirts of the small village of Pilling, these properties are ideal for exploring the North West coast. Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Fleetwood and Poulton-le-Fylde are all within a short drive. Alternatively, the Trough of Bowland, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are all easily accessible by car. Two well stocked fishing lakes can be found within the farm’s extensive grounds and this is offered free of charge to guests. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 3 miles.

Ground floor: Living room with tiled floor. Dining area/kitchen with tiled floor. First floor: 2 double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower room and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included).

Both properties: Oil central heating included (£30per week, £20 per short break November-March). Electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker.     Lovely dog walk around the farm land and great to have an enclosed garden. Great spot for family holidays with the adjoining cottage. Owner was very friendly and helpful

    Could be very nice, but scruffy farm spoils the outlook and the cottage is similar. We found a mouldy flask in the microwave also had to wash cups and crockery before use.

    A lovely, cosy cottage inside, and very well equipped. The owner was extremely helpful and we appreciated the Christmas tree! A shame about the adjoining door between the cottages, and there was too much waste and litter in the surrounding grounds.

    The owner was pleasant enough. The location let it down somewhat and the lack of solid fuel for making up a fire was disappointing. The equipment was very basic and could do with updating. For additional peace of mind the adjoining door in the kitchen to the cottage next door should have a dead bolt on both sides. That said we made the best of our stay and enjoyed our time there.

    The owner sorted the one or two little problems we had quickly. We enjoyed being there. We left our medication and he promptly sent it on to us. Thank him from us, paying for the postage did not seem enough thanks. His farm apple s were very tasty!

    Nice pair of cottages in a lovely location within easy reach of Fleetwood and Blackpool. Very spacious rooms both bedrooms with on suite shower rooms. Lovely back garden and patio area. Host was vey nice and helpful. We would stay again.

    Cottage was in a remote position which we loved. Peacocks were very noisy but this didn't worry us at all it was nice to be living in country surroundings. Easily accessible to Blackpool, Morecambe and the Lake District.
