A very clean and tidy cottage and well equipped. The only criticism I can make is the double bedroom is too small. I've had bigger bedrooms in a caravan. There was only a 6"-9" gap around the bed with a radiator at the foot of the bed and a window at the side. If you have to get up in the night you take the curtain with you and bang yourself on the radiator. I have a couple of lovely bruises on my legs. The owner Mrs Fox is very friendly and helpful. Overall our stay was very good and the cottage very nicely appointed.

Another repeat visit to this pristine bungalow (in fact we booked for an autumn holiday the day after returning.) The number of repeat visitors like ourselves enables the property to speak for itself really.

We were given a very warm welcome by Mrs. Fox and shown round the property without hast. Everything was clean and tidy with a view over the local farm land. A delightful location. The accommodation had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

This was our second visit to west bank We were not disappointed again the bungalow was very clean I had no trouble with my wheelchair as my portable ramp fitted kitchen door way so I could get out of my chair in comfort in the kitchen and use my walking frame around the bungalow We had a good week with only one wet morning It was great to watch the many birds as well as the squirrel Thank you very much for the bottle of wine, milk and biscuits it was very welcoming Jacque from Tamworth

This places was just very small. Very nice welcome from owners but we left after 3 days when we booked for a week.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; It was very nice to meet you and your family. We were very sorry to learn you left early. The property is accurately described on the website and there are photographs to show the size of the rooms and it is quoted in the description that the double bedroom is small. So once again we are sorry you felt it necessary to leave early and we hope it does not deter you from booking holiday cottages again.

Lovely bungalow with open outlook onto fields. Very well presented with every provision and the owners were very attentive & helpful. Only reservations were the lack of control of storage heating & the single beds were a little on the hard side. Otherwise all excellent.

Another lovely Christmas stay at West Bank! The cottage is very well placed for enjoying all that the southern Peak District has to offer. West Bank is quiet, well equipped and always extremely well presented. The owners could not be more helpful and considerate. In short, it is an ideal place for a relaxing break. There are few cottages where we have stayed more than once, but this is definitely one of them!
