Simply divine! with charm in abundance and snuggled in a quiet lane

Wesley House is simply divine!  Steeped in history with charm in abundance this fabulous property oozes the epitome of holiday accommodation.  John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, laid the first stone of Wesley House and its adjoining chapel in 1786.  A century later it was extensively remodelled and extended by the acclaimed architect F.R. Wilson to create this imposing building. Today, it’s been cleverly restored and refurbished with oodles of style to create the contemporary ambience desired for modern living.
This quirky and interesting house now offers excellent and flexible holiday accommodation; namely Wesley Rowan and Wesley Holly.
Wesley Rowan is accessed via a superb decked and terraced pathway to the left. With one double bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and a twin bedroom with en-suite shower facilities on its first, this property is suitable for 4 guests or couples looking for spacious, historic and unique accommodation.
Wesley Rowan offers the perfect location for those wishing to combine convenient access to a wide range of town facilities whilst still being able to enjoy the outdoor experience of the wild and lonely moors and hills across the Northumberland National Park to the west coupled with easy access to the magnificent stretch of golden, sandy seashore this region is proud to have designated as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Wesley Rowan comfortably accommodates 4 guests and can be booked individually or together with Wesley Holly, where an interconnecting hallway can be opened up on the first floor to give flexible accommodation making this entire property easily suitable for 10 / 12 guests who seek luxurious and contemporary accommodation in a property where a foot in the door is a step in the past!

Ideally situated for visiting Alnwick and the surrounding areas. Central but quiet location within a short walk of a supermarket, takeaways and restaurants. Great to have parking immediately outside the cottage. Equipped with everything we needed.

The location is perfect for Alnwick only a few minutes from town centre. Its good value for money for what I paid for my 5 night stay. There were many small issues that needed resolving - example TV remote batteries were dead and also many of the Clock Batteries didn't work. Also light bulbs had not been checked recently. I may have been I was the first quest after the winter perhaps which may have explained these frustrating issues. These were simple to fix but should have been tested between stays in my view, I rang the landline contact number for any problems before I arrived three times as I was concerned about parking. I got no answer and there was no answerphone to leave a message and equally importantly no call back. I noticed in the welcome pack when I was that there was a mobile. As it states clearly parking is difficult as its an old part of the town and the road is a dead end and very narrow. Normal cars can park outside but the car needs to be tight against the wall. There is street parking around but your car is out of sight doing that, It was nice to get a welcome pack which was appreciated although the bread was cheap and the apples were not nice at all. A little extra thought regarding quality over cost would have made a big difference. There were a few stange unexplained noises during my stay and I had the feeling the place may be haunted. It may have been as simple as the neighbours but I never saw a light on so it looked empty during my stay, Shower didn't work properly and no power. You could only it off using the main on off switch and it made some very strange noises. There was some mould on the bath were is meets the tiles. The second entry door would not open although I had keys they didn't seem to fit. The bedroom window did not open and the main door was sticking, Saying all that the cottage had many nice features like a dishwasher and therefore I have left a decent review, I left feedback and all these issues so I am sure that they will now be fixed, It was just my experience I review.
