Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Perfect for couples or a small family, this first floor apartment overlooks Hastings town centre and the coast and is only a short walk from the beach.

Enjoying an elevated position, with sea views from the decked balcony, this well-presented first floor apartment is located close to the West Hill of Hastings in East Sussex. From the West Hill, gaze across the English Channel to the south as the seagulls swoop down over the roof tops of Hastings old town to the east, or spot the largest beach launched fishing fleet in Europe land its catch. During the summer months you can take the West Hill lift which is a funicular railway providing access to the remains of Hastings Castle, the first castle in England built by William the Conqueror, and St Clements caves where acres of tunnels reveal the history of smuggling. The Jerwood Gallery down on The Stade in the middle of the fishing quarter with its iconic net huts is home to a collection of British 20th and 21st-century art. If time allows, explore the stunning combination of coast and countryside that 1066 country has to offer. No visit would be complete without a trip to Battle, the Edwardian seaside resort of Bexhill and its art décor De La War Pavilion, or the cobbled streets of the medieval cinque port town of Rye. Good rail connections to London. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Lovely, spacious apartment in a fantastic location. We took our dog and even though there was no garden the surrounding grassy area was perfect for her to stretch her legs with loads of dog waste bins to despose of the poo bags. We were nearly put off by the lack of parking but free parking is fairly close by and this was worth the inconvenience because the location meant we could walkout most places.

Had an amazing time and the property was so homely. With nice little touches like bread eggs bacon milk doggie gifts etc on arrival. Would def return but you do need to be reasonably fit as very steep hills getting around.

A warm welcome and a great location, the decking area off the bedroom was such a suntrap and a bonus. The open space 100m up the road at the top of west hill was great for exercising the dog with the pleasure of amazing views.
