Absolutely loved Well Cottage. It was so snug and cosey and just what we were after for our stay in the Peak District. Gorgeous surroundings and recommend the Youlgreave circular walk if you want a shorter hike (about an hour) to see the area.

The cottage was very nice although there was a damp problem in the main bedroom which was to be fixed the week after our visit. It was well equipped and furnished nicely. The radiators did not get warm upstairs but luckily it wasn't a particularly cold week. Couldn't find any recycling in the village. The toilet seat was loose and kept falling down, but the shower was lovely. Parking was difficult, usually we were lucky enough to park around the corner but one night we did have to park in the car park at the edge of the village. There is a lively pub close by that does food.

Great location for walking holiday and good pubs and food in village. Cottage very clean, well equipped and with character. Bottle of wine nice welcome touch. However on negative side musty smell on entry, dark with no useable outdoor space or good views. Spiral staircase tricky and parking problematic. Welcome blurb mentions coffee and biscuits but there was only some tea bags and a tiny bit of congealed instant coffee. So in conclusion would love to stay in Youlgreave again but unfortunately not at Well Cottage.

Ideal cottage perfectly placed and suited the two of us perfectly. We would definitely go back.

Sweet cottage, but you should have your own car when staying in Youlgrave, so that you can get to the local amenities.

Great cottage but poor parking if that is important for you. Really good pub close by and lots of lovely walking in the area. Youlgreave is a lovely village.
