Clean, extremely well equipped and highly to be recommended. Mr and Mrs Large were very welcoming and very informative about local amenities and places to visit. We will stay there again.

Most enjoyable holiday, as we had not visited this area before everything was a first. The cottage, well appointed friendly owners. There were lots of little labels with do,s and don`ts on them which were basically common sense but in our experience people seem to lack that these days, with no respect for other peoples property, plenty of wildlife to look at from the large bi,fold windows with views right over to the Welsh hills None of the attractions were any distance away with easy motorways to them . Chester zoo The Anderton boat lift, plus Port Sunlight are musts too visit. Must not overlook Chester Where we spent 3 days looking round Cathedral, city walls. Historic shops. We were taken by everyone being so friendly and welcoming

Lovely cottage, very welcoming and informative hosts. Ideally placed for visiting many National Trust properties and historic Chester. The cottage has plenty of equipment if you wish to cook or the local pub only a mile away serves good food. We would definitely visit again

Everything in cottage good quality with more than enough crockery, cooking utensils etc. Owners very helpful - delighted to find milk in the fridge as we had forgotten ours ! We had good meals in the Royal Oak and The Boot - both nearby. Lovely open outlook.

Good cottage overall but bathroom in particular could have been cleaner especially as start of season. Lovely private location with country views.

Unfortunately, we got off to a bad start as we hadn't phoned ahead about our arrival time, even though it was 4pm when we got there. The next issue was our ignorance regarding a £20 , payment for the oil burner, to be "paid on arrival". We were then subjected to a number of instructions on everything from the bifolding doors to the stable door. To cap it off, there were no less than 14 laminated instructions dotted around covering cess pits, to TVs on standby, to don't fold over the book corners, use the purpose made bookmarks. We never did get to grips about the waste recycling. Superficially, the accommodation looked clean, but the toilet seat area was mucky, as was the carpet around the bed. After we left, we had a call asking why we hadn't returned the key and we also didn't fill in the visitors book like we should have...Probably not the most welcoming or warm reception we have ever experienced.

A lovely, quiet, rural cottage with westerly views to the Welsh Hills over open fields. Clean with modern fittings, and the owners were very hospitable and informative.
