The large windows in the living area offer plenty of natural light and a wonderful vista. For those bringing a dog, there are plenty of excellent walks all around, many of which offer great bird and wildlife spotting. For guests who may wish to bring a horse, the owners offer stables, a menage and horsebox storage on site, available by prior arrangement.

Visit Moors Valley Country Park which has orienteering, cycle hire, golf, forest Segway, walking groups, canoeing, petanque and craftmaking. There is a fishing lake close by.

The New Forest National Park provides miles of open scenic heath and woodland for walking, riding and cycling, as well as a network of footpaths and bridle paths. You can often find ponies, donkeys and cattle freely roaming. The charming town of Fordingbridge which has a host of shops, cafés and eateries, and the gentle flowing River Avon, is also nearby. Ringwood also has a good selection of shops and restaurants, and is about a 15-minute drive away. Weaver’s Lodge is convenient for road links to the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, as well as for visiting Christchurch Harbour and the coast with Poole and Bournemouth. Weavers Lodge is a bright, comfortable cottage with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The access lane is challenging but it is part of the New Forest and there is little that can be done about it. That didn't detract from our enjoyment of our stay in this cosy, modern cottage.

The property was modern, bright, comfortable with fantastic views across fields. It was within walking distance of the common. The downside of the property was the long unmade track that we had to use to reach it. The outside space was limited and a car was required to reach any shops for provisions.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for taking the time to feedback and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. It is quite a rural location, however there is a farm shop and local pub both within walking distance, local towns Fordingbridge and Ringwood are about 2 and 5 miles away respectively.

Would certainly recommend. Clean and comfortable. A winter duvet in mid summer was very warm. As with others, would have been nice to sit out on the small grass area in front of the table and chairs.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. We have now included a summer duvet for warm nights. It wasn’t something that had been raised before, so we appreciate your comments. Many thanks.

Lovely relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. The Weavers Lodge was a delight although the outdoor seating area was always in the shade when we returned for the day a portion of the grass in front would make it idyllic.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We appreciate your feedback and are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. The recent glorious weather has resulted in a couple of our guests commenting about access to evening sunshine in the outside area, it is sunny during the day, however, we will look at what options there may be. Thank you.

Excellent cottage, very clean, modern and fantastic views. Owners were very helpful and even left us a welcome pack. We enjoyed the New Forest and being walkers we completed a lot of miles during our stay. Very close to the coast which made for a good couple of days to get some sea air. Local pubs served great food.
