Great find.It was warm and clean and it was in a fabulous location.I would definetly stay here again. The only things that would make it perfect are: broadband, DVD player, and a comfy sofa, but that’s being picky!

Overall, Waverley is a lovely place to stay. Only a 5 minute walk from the beach, museums and shops. My only criticism is that the lounge furniture is not very comfortable and could do with renewal for those rainy winter nights infront of the fire.

Lovely relaxing week. Cottage lovely and clean, bed was comfortable. Furniture a little dated could do with updating. No problem having no shower. A nice touch was the Christmas decorations and the welcome biscuits. Instructions to the cottage and how to find car park etc was spot on. Very good location no need to drive if you don’t need to shops, beach etc just a few minutes walk away.

As usual we had a lovely time. It I was going to nitpick and as mentioned the last time we stayed it would be especially welcoming if the fire was laid and if we didn't have to bring towels.

Excellent place to stay, and perfectly located for all local amenities. Only let down by parking being away from cottage in Local car park. Some of equipment and furniture is a little tired, but does not spoil or detract from the cottage in any way.

Have stayed here for about 5 years but we wrote in the guest book the first time that they needed a new clothes drier and still the old broken one is there which is just lazy really. Sofas and the bed mattress just too far gone for comfort now. Now the kids are older and The Lion doesn't accept dogs we need wifi!!! Would rather pay more for comfort and a good nights sleep. Sorry though.

We had a great stay here. The cottage is in a perfect location. It was more basic than some places might be, eg no shower or dishwasher or parking but we would definitely stay again, and the handy location was worth it. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, and there were lots of useful leaflets about things to see in the area.

Only downside would be the lack of internet. This is not the be all and end all but with young children, in this day and age it can sometimes be a necessity at times. However, we managed absolutely fine without it.

Lovely property in a great location but lack of wifi and no 3G signal left us feeling quite disconnected.

Perfect situated - just a footwalk away from the beach and the High Street, but totally calm - traffic restriction! The cottage is cosy and offers all you need. We spent a relaxing week there and enjoyed Lyme Regis and surroundings
