Excellent place to stay, and perfectly located for all local amenities. Only let down by parking being away from cottage in Local car park. Some of equipment and furniture is a little tired, but does not spoil or detract from the cottage in any way.

Have stayed here for about 5 years but we wrote in the guest book the first time that they needed a new clothes drier and still the old broken one is there which is just lazy really. Sofas and the bed mattress just too far gone for comfort now. Now the kids are older and The Lion doesn't accept dogs we need wifi!!! Would rather pay more for comfort and a good nights sleep. Sorry though.

We had a great stay here. The cottage is in a perfect location. It was more basic than some places might be, eg no shower or dishwasher or parking but we would definitely stay again, and the handy location was worth it. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, and there were lots of useful leaflets about things to see in the area.

Only downside would be the lack of internet. This is not the be all and end all but with young children, in this day and age it can sometimes be a necessity at times. However, we managed absolutely fine without it.

Lovely property in a great location but lack of wifi and no 3G signal left us feeling quite disconnected.

Perfect situated - just a footwalk away from the beach and the High Street, but totally calm - traffic restriction! The cottage is cosy and offers all you need. We spent a relaxing week there and enjoyed Lyme Regis and surroundings

Lovely cottage a shame there isn't a shower. The owners are so thoughtful and even sent back clothes to us that my daughter had left there. Be aware the cottage is on a steep hill it is quite a trek to the car park. Got used to the hills by the end of the week. We will definitely be going back to Lyme Regis, Beeches are lovely and the town was so clean.

We had a fantastic holiday the weather was amazing, the only negative thing was we tried to contact the housekeeper on the Saturday we was leaving but the phone was turned off the housekeeper had been really helpful on the Saturday we got there so we were a little surprised when our call wasn't returned, we would definitely come again, thankyou very much.

Lovely, cosy cottage. Good central location. Walking the luggage down the lane with two small children was quite hard going but we would definitely stay again, just pack less!

Heating struggled to warm the house, probably better in the other seasons.

We could not recommend this cottage more highly. The location is superb.....a minutes walk one way and you are in the High Street with pubs, supermarkets and shops, and 2 minutes walk the other way and you are at the Cobb. So what if you have to park up the road and walk a little way with luggage....the compensation is the total peace and quiet from a traffic free lane! Roomy and very well equipped, we found it a very cosy and comfortable cottage in every room. Don't quite see how a shower could be fitted either..... but so what? Lovely bathroom and plenty of hot water.....not a problem for us at all having no shower. We visited in December over New Year and a great touch was the Christmas tree in the lounge and lights over the dresser in the kitchen...plus a few other small decs around. The owners emailed us all the details for parking etc in the week before were due to arrive, and the caretaker (Cheryl I think?) called us the day before as we were due to arrive late and in the dark! She very kindly left lights on for us, and the heating too! A really lovely touch. We regularly rent cottages all over the UK, and can honestly say this has been our best.
