Amazing location and great, clean cottage. Fire was awesome and bath is nice and large. The location meant that not having parking was not a problem because everything is so close.

A nice cottage. The fittings and carpets a bit worn out. Great location. Great waking up on Sunday morning listening to the church bells and not hearing any road traffic.

That was an unfair opening question! No I would not stay at Waverley again, but that's not due to any issue with the property which was simply lovely, central, comfortable and well appointed. Having spent a week in Lyme Regis we might look to stay in (say) Swanage or Exmouth next time we visit that area. The instructions were clear (once we found the "right" car park) and the welcome pack much appreciated.

This was a great little cottage and very clean on arrival. The facilities within the cottage were excellent and the kitchen (we love cooking) was well equipped. Over reviews complained of a lack of shower, but the bath is large and has a hand held shower attachment integrated to the taps, so you can easily wash and rinse your hair. The only slight grumble would be the difficulty of loading and unloading your vehicle on arrival/department, as the lane itself can't take a car, however, the owners give clear instructions for this, and its part of the quaintness of the cottage. Lyme Regis is a lovely location and will definitely visit again.

We loved this cottage and would gladly return. We chose this one especially for the dog's benefit and he certainly enjoyed his holiday. I enjoyed particularly the outside space, the terraced garden and the airiness of the location. Its situation so close to Broad Street was so convenient making shopping trips simple and pleasurable----while the charming lane of pretty cottages seemed far away from busy life. We were impressed by the scrupulous cleanliness of the cottage!

Arrived ahead of the weekend crowd after midday on Thursday & enjoyed a leisurely lead in to the weekend and we walked from Lyme over Golden Cap on the glorious Friday to Chideock before our weekend guests arrived. Waverley were grand and my only moan is the lack of a shower & the great weather meant we couldn't have a soak outdoors either.

We had everything we could possibly need in the cottage and loads of information of the local area and eating places - all of which proved great. Excellent support on arrival at destination. Lyme Regis is a very peaceful place to relax and take in the gentle pace of life and enjoy this wonderful area of dorset where there is a lot of places of interest and the general fossil coast area.

Quite well equipped and a really good location. However the garden was NOT dog proof, in fact our dog escaped through the hedge within 15 minutes of us arriving, and we could not let him into the garden unsupervised for the whole time we were there which was a stress we didn't expect or need. The garden, although well designed with nice views across the town and a nice space to sit in, was a worry for children and dogs as the fence wasn't very high and had a sheer drop the other side. Although the cottage really was in a good location in the centre of town near the shops, pubs and beach, there is no way you can get a car anywhere near it and it is on a very steep lane. The cottage is quaint but very old fashioned and we felt it could be brought up-to-date. Some of the equipment and furnishings are quite old. The downstairs, particularly the kitchen, took a long time to heat up although in warmer weather this of course wouldn't be such an issue! A big negative for us was the fact there was no wifi which is ridiculous in this day and age particularly as mobile phone signal is so poor in the town. Also, you can not shower in the bathroom as it is a hand held attachment and due to the restricted head height you can't stand in the bath and the water just sprays all over the bathroom. Lyme Regis is a lovely place but we would probably look for something that suits our needs better if we came again. Service prior and on arrival was very good with advice on long stay parking etc.

We much enjoyed our stay in Lyme. Waverley was ideal in terms of location, though we could have done with ropes and pitons as staying in the town is like living on Everest, camp 3! Still, it kept us and the dogs fit. We enjoyed the range of cafes and shops and particularly our dinner at Tierra Kitchen, which is wonderful if you like vegetarian food. The only shortcoming was the lack of a fixed shower; understandable given the pitch of the bathroom's ceiling. All in all, a very relaxing and worthwhile week.
