Description

Detached cottage with vaulted, beamed ceiling, woodland walks close by, Sissinghurst Gardens and Lamberhurst and Biddenden vineyards close by.

This tastefully converted single-storey farm building stands detached in the owner’s grounds. The holiday cottage has retained its original beams and enjoys its own terrace. Guests are invited to take a stroll through the adjoining woods - a carpet of bluebells in the springtime. It is ideally placed for visiting Sissinghurst Gardens as well as Lamberhurst and Biddenden vineyards. Explore the jewel of the Weald, Tenterden, with its tea shops, art galleries and antique shops, or take a ride on the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway to the moated Bodiam Castle. Camber Sands and the Cinque Port town of Rye are within half an hour’s drive. Shop and pub 1½ miles.

Lovely setting overlooking the lake. Sofa needs replacing and kettle leaked. Comfy bed but not much room to move around. Single track road to accommodation not good if you have to reverse a long way to let someone pass.

We absolutely adored the cottage and we would definetely recommend it to family and friends when they are looking for a place to stay in Kent. The cottage was clean and tidy and provided everything we needed. Thank you so much!

Great place to stay, scored only 8 for comfort and equipment but actually comfort was good it was only equipment that marked it down but realise this is a lot to do with many different people using cooking pots pans etc. Owner helpful and friendly. A bit difficult to view tv the way furniture was placed, but decor lovely. Nothing to complain about and everything to recommend. Location lovely and peaceful and great for nature lovers. Would definitely return and recommend. We felt very much at home here.

Even though it was cold when we arrived was told only to use the heating as per the preset times . Settee was uncomfortable. TV was small. Kitchen equipment was poor

An ideal place if you like peace and quiet. Lovely grounds and comfortable accommodation. Owner's family friendly and welcoming. We came to visit National Trust properties and there were at least five within a ten mile radius which was ideal. The town of Tenterden is quite close but we didn't find any shops within a short walk from the property.

Very comfortable accommodation with all you need for a relaxing holiday. However still in a good location for access to a large number of places to visit.

Excellent location for visiting the many National Trust properties in the area. Only 30 minutes drive from the coast. Very tranquil setting and picturesque views to the rear. Home owner was very helpful.
