Excellent cottage, lovely walks nearby. There is a massive enclosed garden for the kids/dogs and just about everything you would need is there. Highly recommended

Cottage was essentially as expected based on photos and comments made by people who had previously stayed there. Positive points - very clean, comfy bed and good shower. Location is quiet and rural - what we wanted. A dog cage was available and used by us - nice touch. Negatives/room for improvement - Sitting room is "tired", as mentioned before the carpet needs replacing. The decking outside was dirty (house martin nest in eaves) and no attempt had been made to clean this. The front gate hinges are falling off. The garden is NOT secure particularly for small dogs - also mentioned before. We would consider staying again if improvements made.

The cottage was well equipped with everything that you could possibly need, especially in the kitchen. New pans and cooking trays had been provided & there was a large fridge freezer. This was a great space to spend time in. Upstairs the king size bed was very comfortable with fantastic pillows with crisp, fresh sheets ideal for a good nights sleep. The shower was also great. Please note thought that the stairs are narrow & steep and could be an issue for some people. The living room was a little disappointing. It would definitely benefit from a new floor as the carpet and the rug have both seen better days and such a shame that the magnificent view is obscured by the fire wall. Stating that the cottage also has Sky TV is also a little misleading? It has your basic 5 channels, ITV channels and film four powered through a sky box, but definitely does not have even the basic sky package. The decking area was great however the garden is not totally secure if you have a dog like ours who became Houdini to gain access to the sheep! he escaped 3 times and eventually we had to tie him up on the decking. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Waterfall Cottage and whilst the cottage could do with a little TLC in areas where it has become tired we would visit again if only to visit the waterfall that it derives its name from which was amazing. I would give this cottage a solid 7 out of 10.

Had to hoover dog hair up before unloading vehicle, garden not suitable for our small dogs, grass very long and not secure. Location excellent, very quiet. Very well equipped.

Cottage was lovely, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Heating was strange - very warm upstairs but cooler downstairs - but a wood burner, plus wood, was provided. Location was lovely, very quiet, peaceful. Road to cottage might need some attention soon! Overall cottage ideal for those wanting a place out of way. For us although cottage was just about perfect we would have preferred somewhere on the outskirts of a village/small town.
