This property is part of our Cottages4you collection

In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Explore the North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire Dales, the fantastic coastline, the city of York and town of Harrogate with ease from this beautiful barn conversion.

Tucked away on the owners’ working livestock farm, these two holiday properties (ref 29352 and 29353) form two of five sympathetic conversions of old stone barns. The farm is home to a herd of cattle, alpacas, pigs, sheep, horses and chickens (fresh eggs available). Tastefully furnished, they successfully combine the old with the new to create an ambient atmosphere for simply relaxing, touring or walking direct from the door. The local village inn serves excellent food and is a 10 minutes’ stroll away, whilst the bustling market town of Thirsk is just 4 miles away and offers a wide range of restaurants, shops, cafes and pubs, together with the James Herriot Museum and Thirsk Racecourse. Sutton Bank is renowned for its exceptional long distance panoramic views from where you may wish to watch gliders take full advantage of the strong thermals. There is easy access to two National Parks (the Yorkshire Dales and the rugged scenery of the North York Moors) and the seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough. Alternatively, the quaint picturesque town of Helmsley is a short drive and the historic city of York makes for a full day out. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

All on the ground floor.

Lovely clean, comfortable cottage with nearby walks - but could do with a bus service in the village.

Kitchen Cottage is well equipped, tastefully furnished and beautifully clean. It is light, airy and spacious. The owners have thought of everything, with nice touches like milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Victoria. It is well situated for the North Yorkshire Moors and within easy reach of many interesting places to visit.
