Located on the Kildale Estate in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Warren Farmhouse dates back to 1780 and is the perfect peaceful retreat. It has been refurbished as a family home, retaining many original features and providing very comfortable accommodation. Log fires, beamed ceilings and a well equipped farmhouse kitchen with an aga add to the charm and character. Remotely located just outside the village of Kildale with superb views over the hills and valley. The surrounding fields and heather moorland are home to an abundance of wildlife, including lapwing, curlew and red grouse. Ideal for walking, bird watching, active holidays with family, friends, or to celebrate a special occasion. The moors, footpaths and cycle tracks are on your doorstep, and Kildale’s small train station is on the glorious Esk Valley line to the ancient seaport of Whitby, passing through Goathland, Heartbeat’s village; you can even enjoy the leisurely journey by steam. Visit the Georgian market town of Stokesley where the partly cobbled streets are lined with inns, tea rooms and a mix of shops. Explore the heritage coast and sandy beaches of Yorkshire with seaside towns such as Saltburn, Whitby and Scarborough within easy reach, and fishing villages including Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood’s Bay. Historic homes, abbeys and castles abound in this area with Newby Hall and Gardens, Castle Howard, the castle ruins in Helmsley and Rievaulx Abbey in the vicinity. Shop, pub and restaurant 4.5 miles.

    We have stayed at Warren Farm on 5 different occasions, the last being Christmas 2017. It’s a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The owners Andrew & Emma are very friendly & extremely helpful as is Andrea, nothing is too much for them. We will be back, it’s like a home away from home.

    Experienced a fabulous 3day family break at Warren house , beautiful location & scenery , fantastic big spacious house & very confortable beds.. we were lucky to have 3 sunny glorious days ,which really showed it off to its best..would highly recommend this house...

    Our visit was for five family mature adults. This farmhouse built in 1780 (?) has been refurbished very well and in keeping with the original architecture and very comfortable. The peaceful setting without near neighbours and extensive views over the moors and only the sound of birds and sheep was a welcome retreat from the usual hustle and bustle of every day life.

    Warren Farmhouse must be one of the best properties in this part of North Yorshire. The house is very traditional in appearance, but fully equiped with modern aids. This was our second visit, as before the house was immaculate. Nice patio and a barbecue if the weather plays ball (it did for us). When you are there it feels very remote, beautiful long views across the moors, but in reality you are also reasonably close to supermarkets, cinemas and the like, and also to the coast. Tesco delivers to the house. There are some great local walks, so you don't necessarily need to take the car out. Very relaxing. There isn't a pub in the village; the local tea shop is licensed so you can refresh youself after a walk, but nothing in the evening. One strange aspect: you are only provided with a starter rubbish bag, so take your own, because you will need these to get your rubbish to the council bins at the bottom of the hill. This wasn't something we had come across before at this price level, and was not the case on our previous visit. When we asked the owner it was apparently on the advice of the letting agent. Now you know about it, just take some extra bin bags; Warren Farm is a great choice for a holiday.
