The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds is a 10-minute drive away, with its award-winning abbey gardens, cathedral and Georgian theatre. There are several NT properties in the area including Ickworth House, Melford Court and Lavenham Guildhall. Cambridge with its ancient university, colleges and punting, Newmarket for the races, Ipswich and the Suffolk and Norfolk coasts are all within easy reach. Shops and pubs 1 mile.
