Our only disappointments were the lack of dog walking facilities, off road, straight from the cottage. No wifi signal for phone or internet access.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for taking the time to leave a review - however, I'm a little surprised by your comments, which Id like to respond to if I may. The Walkmill is very popular with dog owners as there are lots of walks. Firstly we have 3 acres of grounds that you have direct access too which are perfect for a quick early morning/bedtime comfort break, but we are also surrounded by fields with dedicated footpaths. However, we are in a farming community so you will need to keep your pooch on the lead in certain fields. We do have wifi on site and the service has recently been tested in Walkmill Lodge and was found to be working. We didn't get a chance to speak about this so I'm unsure whether you couldn't connect at all, or whether the signal was just painfully slow which unfortunately is a challenge for this rural community.. We understand fully that many of our guests rely on wifi and this is why we offer our guests the option to come in to our home and connect directly. I know this isn't a perfect solution for general communications but its always a fallback position if you need a wifi service urgently. Finally, there is no O2 mobile signal within 3 miles of the cottages, however, we do have an EE signal. Again you are welcome to use our telephone in an emergency, or indeed to leave our number with your loved ones. I'm so sorry we didn't get a chance to assist you with these matters when you came to stay.

We have just returned from a lovely break in this beautiful county. Our cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Furnished in a lovely style by the owners.

Well equipped cottage but rather small for 4 adults, smell thrown back from drain in one of the ensuites and because the shower is not in a seperate room, the bedroom had a damp feel. Location good for walkers and very handy shop

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for leaving your comments. I'm so sorry with your issues with the shower room and toilet, I only wished we'd had the opportunity to resolve this during your stay. With regard to the toilet this appears to be a local one-off problem as we've been monitoring this with subsequent guests who have confirmed that there has not been a recurrence of this issue. As you mention the shower room does open in to the bedroom, we took the decision to do this as it meant we could fit a large double shower. We haven't had a problem with this before or since and neither the bathroom or bedroom have any visible damp signs however, I did notice that the fan had been switched off and I'm guessing this created the problem on this occasion. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.

The cottage was in a beautiful setting, and very convenient for exploring Shropshire. However some elements were not "user friendly". Difficult to clean a shower when shower head is fixed! Could not rinse face in water in basin in double bedroom without banging head on shelf. Frame under basin loose, as was soap dish in shower. Some windows were dirty on the inside. Duvets had obviously been washed several times and the filling had "pocketed" - need replacing

Lovely accommodation but the pebbles on the drive are not easy to navigate with a wheelchair.
