If you are looking for peace, quiet and comfort then you will find it here. The weather was poor to put it mildly, lots of rain and cloudy days but this just seemed to improve the fishing, the carp almost seemed to want to be hooked! If you feel like a trip out Bude is an easy ten mile run, the Alpaca farm worth a visit and the pub in the village is half mile away. Monday to Thursday evenings from 6.00 to7.30 they do a very good offer of two meals and drinks for twenty pounds. The reason for 9/10 for comfort was the bed, a bigger one would be just perfect but I really am being picky. Apart from that, sheer perfection and lovely owners too.

Stunning location, beautiful surroundings and peace and quiet except for amazing bird song! Lodge was spotless and every thing provided that is needed. Hurray for plenty of dog poop bins, definitely doggy friendly. it lost one point on the scoring for the small double bed, not quite long enough for husband and footer board prevented stretching feet over end of bed. He didn't get comfortable for an in disturbed sleep. Highly recommend the lodge and location and a very friendly welcome from owners. Village pub also welcoming and very good food!
