An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above.

A fairytale cottage less than a mile from the village centre, and an ideal base for visiting Rye, Camber Sands or simply relaxing.

A true rural hideaway, Waggoners Cottage is a beautiful, beamed, fairytale, detached holiday cottage tucked away in a quiet corner of a 600-acre working arable farm. Originally built in the 17th-century, and once a farm worker’s cottage, it has been restored to a high standard. The River Rother, a popular fishing and bird-watching spot, is a walk across the fields. An unpaved road leads first to the farmyard and then into the village with its pubs and locally renowned supermarket. The Cinque Ports of Rye (4 miles), and Tenterden, a traditional market town (10 miles), the coast at Camber Sands, Sissinghurst, Bateman’s, Great Dixter Gardens and Bodiam Castle are all accessible. Shop ¾ mile.

Living room with wood-burning stove in inglenook fireplace, tiled floor and step up to dining area. Galley-style kitchen with butler sink, tiled floor and utility area. Bathroom with shower attachment, over-bath shower and toilet. First floor: Large double bedroom with farmland views.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, ideal for complete rest or energetic walking. Our 2 greyhounds love the place as plenty of rabbits for interest. Several good pubs nearby with local beer and lovely food. This has been our second visit to the cottage, will definitely book again.

We have stayed in many places with this website, not many i would say we would return to on a regular basis, be it location from home or experience. This place is perfect in all areas and we plan to visit again next year for a longer period of time. I cannot fault the cottage in anyway, thanks for allowing us to stay in such a perfect location.

Cute cottage but situated within a working farm so not great for privacy or hay fever sufferers. Property has a large bedroom but only a 4'6" bed which is not sufficient. Living room seating was insufficient also. Traditional low doors became annoying fast (several head bruises attest to this!) and twisting staircase to bedroom caused some trips and further head bangs as well. The owners (farmers who live nearby) are friendly and helpful.

Lovely cottage in very peaceful location. Great for dogs as well. Couple of very small niggles but didn't detract from overall enjoyment
