We were made to feel very welcome by the owners who were very helpful and informative; it is a lovely cottage on a farm in a great area for exploring (especially with a dog) - there are many country walks, coastal areas and some very good dog-friendly pubs and cafes serving delicious food.

We had an excellent week at Venns Farm. Brian was there to greet us when we arrived and Jo had kindly provided as with a spiced fruit cake in a basket with fruit juices and preserves. Inside the cottage is very nicely decorated. The cottage was not overlooked by Jo and Brian's home. There is a garden at the cottage that is private and in the summer it must be a lovely place to sit in the evening sun. We arrived with snow on the gound but we were warm at all times in the cottage. The shower was hot. All the little things from cleaning products to kitchen rolls were provided in the kitchen. We would not hesitate to hire this property again. Thank you Jo and Brian for a wonderful holiday.

What a lovely surprise when we arrived after travelling 250miles the welcome basket was a nice touch but the cake was delicious. All what we expected from the photos on the website. Our host was great and nothing was too much effort. We were nice and near our daughter in Ipswich. They were able to visit and enjoy the lovely layout of the cottage. Everything was clean and nicely set out, plenty of room round the dining table, the sofa and chairs were comfortable and cosy.

This is a beautiful cottage set in the heart of Suffolk. An excellent central location to explore the county and beyond. We had a fantastic holiday as the cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and more. It was extremely clean and beautifully presented. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and despite being in close proximity to the cottage were unobtrusive; it was obvious that they were interested in making our stay the best it could possibly be. The lodge is in a quiet and secluded location with a couple of lovely local pubs in close proximity. It is very dog friendly which is always a priority for us and the surrounding area offers lovely local walks. Venn's Farm is one of the best places we have stayed and would certainly return in the future. Thank you to Brian and Jo for making us feel so welcome.

As you will realise I was very impressed with the Cottage and the owners/caretakers. (The owners were away and I didn't meet them until the last day but they kept in touch with me whilst they were on holiday). The Cart Lodge was well kept and nicely decorated and furnished with everything you could possibly want on this type of holiday. It was very peaceful. Its location was pretty much central to all places on the coast and inland. Would recommend this holiday cottage and I plan to take another holiday there in the future. A car is essential to get about.

Excellent place to stay and in a lovely countryside location. The cottage had everything we needed and was great for the dog as it had a large garden that was completely secure. Would definitely recommend this cottage
