Valley View was a great base for exploring the fabulous Isle of Skye. The cottage is extremely cosy on cold winter days with a lovely log burner and very effective heating. The views from the house were stunning and the local area was great for walking. Very impressed by the local shop which was a real Aladdin's Cave and stocked everything you could need.

The accommodation was excellent very warm even without any heating on - we only put the wood burner on ( which the wood was free) for aesthetic reasons. There was plenty of room for 4 adults - if I had to make a critasism it would be the toilet seat that was broken - The location was very remote but the little village shop sold virtually everything and was a nice downhill walk of about a mile. I would recommend valley view for anybody who wants a quiet tranquil place

The cottage was comfortable a couple of small touches would help make it very comfortable, like larger bath towels, full length mirror cushions on all the table chairs

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review. The bath towels we provide are good quality, but we listen to all feedback. I shall purchase bigger towels, a full length mirror and chair cushions. Hopefully see you next year! Thanks.

There was no welcome pack The toilet seat was broken The xplair on/off switch was too high to reach, resulting in damp smell in bathroom The fence was broken, which meant the rams jumped over into the garden every day

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that you didn't receive the welcome pack; this was an oversight on our part. Following your feedback the toilet seat has now been fixed. As the property is a new build we have to follow certain building standards, hence the switch for the Xplelair being where it is. The sheep do like jumping into the garden and I am now going to heighten the fence to try and deter them.

All really good. Lovely and modern cottage, in a remote location, but still close to everything. Children had a fantastic stay. Highly recommended
