Valley View lived up to all our expectations. The cottage itself is warm, bright and extremely comfortable, we felt entirely relaxed. We especially enjoyed the garden and all its 'sun spots' and the numerous birds visiting the feeder. The view across the valley is beautiful as are woodland walks on the doorstep. A wonderful place to be.

Beautiful location. Wonderful cottage within a close but friendly community. Outside terrace gives privacy to view the valley landscape - good birdwatching from your doorstep. Really met up to our expectations, above many other holiday homes we've stayed at in the past.

Loved the location and the view from the lounge and garden. Hard flooring downstairs good for muddy walkers and dog. Very comfortable bed but sofas a bit too soft for us. A well equipped kitchen made cooking at home a pleasure but I no hair dryer provided. Lots of great walking to be done in the area and Hartland had everything we needed including 3 welcoming pubs and a really good cafe. We ate out a few times including The Hart Inn on curry night - very good and a great lunch at Docton Mill. Went to Bude on the only wet day, a very nice town with lots of dog friendly cafes.

Cottage nice and comfortable. Let down by being unable to park the car near cottage or in village car park. Found it difficult in finding places to eat.

The only main downside was the not fully enclosed garden for our dog but not something which would put us off going again. Was a good location for accessing lots of different areas in North Devon and good amenities in the village. Would definitely recommend

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed, very peaceful too. Lovely terrace with views. Although the cottage is attached to another, it feels like a detached cottage, as the living room and garden are very private. The village has 2 well stocked stores for food and drink, plus 3 pubs, which are ok for a drink in the evening. Probably the only slight downside is that parking on road, near the cottage could be a problem at the height of the season, but there is a free car park a couple of minutes walk away.
