We had a lovely stay at the lodge. Very quiet because a little hidden from the main road and a small creek nearby. Very clean, very cosy, all kitchen equipment available that we needed. Just perfect!

We stayed at the lodge while going to concerts (Celtic Connections) in Glasgow so were looking for somewhere with easy access to the city centre but also good for walking our dogs during the day. The lodge was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed walks along the canal and surrounding countryside. The lodge was well equipped, warm and welcoming, with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms, a cosy sitting area and good cooking facilities. We appreciated the log-burning stove. We would definitely book again for next year's Celtic Connections.

Cottage a bit tucked away but very comfy. Bed linen and towels were excellent. The outside washing line was very rusty so we were unable to use that.there was an indoor airer but it wasn't big enough for one machine load of washing and the spinner was very slow so the clothes were very wet when they came out of the washer. There was only one floor length mirror in one bedroom, none in the other two. Other than that everything was fine. We saw deer three mornings and the weather was very good.

Great location, very well situated with easy access to both the city life (Glasgow and Edinburgh) and the scenic nature. We enjoyed especially the animals around, first time we met a badger. Very helpful housekeeper, reacted promply. :) thanks for that.
