The Stables offers stylish and stunningly presented accommodation for two guests and is situated in a lovely location close to Bourton-on-the-Hill.

Situated in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside

These two holiday properties (refs 28775, 28776) offer contemporary accommodation throughout. Situated on the owner’s working farm, The Tractor Shed and The Stables are two barn conversions surrounded by open fields, which both boast far-reaching views across the Cotswold countryside. These holiday properties are located close to the charming hillside village of Bourton-on-the-Hill and are situated less than two miles from the popular market town of Moreton-in-Marsh. The village is fortunate to have Batsford Estate and Arboretum close by and here you can enjoy a walk around the beautiful grounds any time of the year. From Easter to November there is a very good tea room and the Cotswold Falconry Centre is open. In the village is Bourton House with its 16th century Tythe Barn, which opens its gardens to the public weekly throughout the summer months. The heart of England Way passes through the village and along with other footpaths, provides a pleasurable way to see the countryside around this pleasant area. The village has one pub which serves wonderful food. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Ground floor: Living room with tiled floor/dining room/kitchen. First floor: 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Finding the cottage in the dark was very difficult. There seen to be no names anywhere. Spent about a hour driving up and down. But once we had found it it was great and lovely welcome pack.

The biggest problem was finding it! There is no sign at the entrance to the private road, as your instructions advised, and one of the two oak trees is dead. On arriving at the farmhouse there is no sign advising that you should drive round the back of the property and when we arrived no sign on the cottage. We had to rely on the picture in the particulars to identify the cottage. Once we got there the cottage was fine.

Have just spent a really relaxing week in the Stables. Lovely cottage which is very central for travelling around the Cotswolds. Very quiet surroundings ( baring the odd tractor rumble). Would recommend this cottage to anybody who needs to recharge their batteries, it certainly worked for us.

We had stayed in The Stables Febuary last year and it was the first choice to come back to this year.

Overall lovely place to stay. Like previous reviewers we also found the bed to be small and very soft. However, the bedroom was large with plenty of drawers and hanging space. We stayed during a cold week in February so the air vent in the living caused the room to be cold even with the heater on full. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we could have wanted.

An enjoyable stay in a wonderful area. We went in February so many places weren't open. But we were more interested in seeing the villages and pubs etc. with the benefit that there were fewer people around - I suspect the area is far busier in the peak holiday period.

Lovely cottage in a great location, ideal for exploring or just relaxing and walking. The welcome basket was a lovely gesture. I would definitely go back and highly recommend.
