Lovely cottage in a lovely village. Good walks from the doorstep with lots of things to do around locally. Really good pub serving good food in village too! Our only negative was that the parking seems to be an issue with the neighbours.

We enjoyed our break and found the cottage very comfortable. But the lounge was extremely dark. We had to use the lights all the time. Lack of a dedicated car parking space was the only major problem. Somewhat stressful returning hoping there would be somewhere to park. Out with the cottage we found the volume of cars parked everywhere in the village spoiled the ambiance of what was probably a very nice location at one time.

A beautiful, private stone cottage with deep, deep windowsills and a secluded sunny garden. Perfect for two plus a dog, with many extras thoughtfully provided for dogs such as leads, bowls, toys, balls. Located just above a babbling brook. Well-equipped, spacious galley kitchen with washing machine too. Comfy lounge with woodburner, lovely light & airy main bedroom well-served by velux window and a choice of shower or full bath in the bathroom to wallow in at the end of a long day's walking. Working internet!

We were very happy with our stay at Underbargh. We loved the scenery and surrounding attractions. A serious problem with the combiboiler which 'died' on our arrival and resulted in no heating, (no problem as other portable appliances were available), and no hot water for 5 days. This caused the owners as much stress and concern as it did us and it must be stated it was through no fault of ours or theirs. A generous refund of the full five days rental was repaid without we needing to ask. Summary A lovely cottage in a lovely area with the owners living in the same village and who most definitely care about their tenants holiday experience and have very high standards of care from which we most certainly benefitted.

Our only concern was that the garden was enclosed by a low wall n one side which would have been fine for a small dog but our labradoodle could jump the wall so had to be on a lead to go in the garden
