Lovely large house for 4 adults and 3 small children, not forgetting 2 small dogs. Our only disappointment was the shower in lower bathroom. The water power was very poor from the electric shower and we had to make do with holding the bath shower head which was inconvenient and awkward. If we were to be picky, These things we found but they didn't spoil the holiday but may need addressing, We found old chewed dog toys under settees in front room, and Christmas decoration under tv unit in dining room, when we checked for anything we may have left. There were cobwebs and dusty plug sockets, a pity as it is a clean well equipped house. There was a chipped cereal bowl and mug, again no real problem as there were plenty of bowls etc. Very useful. We apologise for a broken bowl which was on the hearth in dining room. On the first day our 2 year old tripped on corner of the hearth and sat square on the dish which had wooden balls in, it smashed, causing no injury to him as he was wearing a nappy and jeans. We did move other breakables and had no further problems. We really had a lovely holiday and it was great to go back to the house knowing we would be warm and comfortable. The washer and drier were a massive help, especially with the dreadful weather at the start of our visit. The front room fire was a cosy touch, we had the light on without the heat. We have mentioned these things to be helpful rather than anything else. If you don't know about them you can't put them right. Overall, great place to stay, loved it. Thank you.

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your useful review. I am very sorry about the poor pressure of the shower in bathroom 1 which we became aware of ourselves this January during a stay in the house with family. Unfortunately due to bookings and fitting around busy plumbers we are unable to replace it with a more efficient model until mid April when we have the house booked out for 2 weeks while the exterior is painted. With regard to the objects found under furniture I can only apologise unreservedly. We take cleanliness and presentation very seriously but it appears on this occasion we have fallen short of our high standards. I am delighted with all the positive comments you have made about the cottage however and sincerely hope we can welcome you back in the future.

Good comfortable family accommodation but ideally the kitchen could have been larger
