One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. Very welcoming, comfortable and fully equipped with everything you could possible need. The showers were both very good - especially the one in the main bathroom. There is underfloor heating throughout the house which adds to the cosy feel. I would challenge the assertion that it sleeps 6, the sixth bed is a actually narrow feather mattress on a top of cupboard in the hallway Set in a small hamlet, it might initially seem remote, but only half a mile from the A39, the Atlantic Highway. This picturesque road will take you as far to Illfracombe in Devon to the north to Padstow in Devon to the South, within an hour. You couldn't ask for a better location to sample some of the best these too counties have to offer. There are plenty of other places a lot closer to discover. Nearest shops and pubs are a couple of miles away and there is a Morrisions in Bude, 10 miles south.

Brilliant cottage, we wanted for nothing, superbly equipped, perfect location for visiting beaches and towns, quiet location which now has enclosed fence and well secured garden at front providing safety to dogs. Every effort has been made it seems with you in mind. The superb wood burner provides extra comfort for those winter months but is not needed often as the underfloor heating is more than sufficient. There is a nice large TV in the lounge area and further ones in each bedroom. The locals are friendly too in what could more like be described as a hamlet. Ample supermarkets 'Morrison's' and Lidl at nearby Bude offer an easy way if you are catering for yourself or not eating out. There was a field just 150 yards just up the road to exercise our dog, a good road for a journey to Bideford for a look around on those rainy days. I cannot speak highly enough about this cottage, it is without a doubt the best we have ever stayed in and we will definitely return again next year.

The break at Tricks Cottage was excellent, the cottage was very well equipped, comfortable, homely and quaint. We visited with 4 dogs, who were able to be safe in the garden area. Lovely area and would definitely stay here again. Only down side the dog- friendly Pub near by was about 3 miles away, but worth a visit.

Lovely cottage in very picturesque quiet hamlet setting. Cottage has all modern amenities and an excellent well fenced front garden to stop the dog escaping. The only thing we would have liked are some non slip pads on the stair treads to avoid slipping on the polished wooden staircase to upstairs. We strongly recommend this cottage for a very comfortable stay.

The accomadation is located in a very quiet hamlet and is a great location for visiting the North Devon and North Cornwall coast. The living acvomdfdtion is very good with a very well equipped kitchen the bedrooms are comfortable the ensuite room is looming a little tired and could do with refreshing otherwise a very nice cottage in a great location

The cottage was OK but we felt it was overpriced. For a cottage that allows 3 dogs the garden was very small and out the front of the cottage so no privacy. The worst thing for us were the 3 cockerels they crowed from 4 in the morning till 10 at night it was constant. I love the the countryside but it was too much. We have stayed in better for less, the cottage is comfy but it needs a good clean and a little more TLC.

Had a fab stay at tricks cottage. Our only negative points were. The single bed on the landing isn't a conventional bed. It's built over some cupboards and is quite small. Our 6th person that needed to use it is 6ft 3ins and didn't fit. He ended up on the lounge floor on setter cushions. The other thing is that the garden is at the front and you do feel very exposed. However saying that we still had a lovely time.
