Description

This Grade ll listed property is ideal for a family wishing to discover North Norfolk, the coast and Broads with lots for everyone.

Trentham Cottage is a Grade ll listed, light and airy holiday property. One of a pair, it sits within the peaceful seaside village of Snettisham, close to some of the most beautiful coastline that Norfolk has to offer. Snettisham has a huge amount of individual character and offers the opportunity to undertake a unique deer safari. It also has a lovely natural and unspoilt beach offering open sea views and glorious sunsets. Just a few miles along the coast, Hunstanton provides all the fun of the fair, a Sealife Centre, Norfolk Lavender, traditional amusements, and a beautiful sandy beach from which you can take a boat tour out to see the seals. Travel a little further and discover pretty villages that wind along the coastline and yield picturesque salt marshes and glorious beaches, along with numerous places to enjoy a meal or to potter around boutique shops. Wells-next-the-Sea, with its picturesque quay, narrow gauge railway and mix of traditional and artisan shops, is well worth a visit. Birdwatchers will be spoilt for choice with Snettisham, Titchwell and Holkham within easy reach, and Blakeney, Cley and Welney just a little further afield. The Hanseatic town of Kings Lynn is also worth visiting and there are guided walking tours available around the old quarter. The coastline offers bracing and picturesque walks and the area also offers some good cycling routes and is home to lots of National Trust properties and Stately Homes, including The Sandringham Estate and Holkham Hall. When it comes to deciding what to visit next, relaxing Trentham Cottage provides the perfect environment to unwind and plan your next adventure, perhaps while enjoying dinner al fresco in the private, patio garden. Beach 1 mile. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 150 yards.

Living room with French doors and dining area. Kitchen. Separate toilet. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed and TV. Twin bedroom (zip & link, can be 6ft double). Further twin bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower, separate shower cubicle and toilet.

This cottage was cosy and well equipped, and we found the beds really comfy. The village had enough amenities to keep us going whilst away, and the beach is close enough to enjoy a daily dog walk. I would recommend a boat trip to see the seals, and the dog could go for free. Dog owners just need to be aware that you are asked to keep dogs off the furniture and from going upstairs. If we visit Norfolk again we would be very happy to stay here again.

One of the best cottages we have used. Could not fault it. The toys provided were a godsend as the weather was appalling. Lots of thoughtful little touches by the owner made our Easter wèekend enjoyable in spite of the weather. Highly recommended.

A great few days. The best equipped cottage we have ever stayed our children loved all the toys. The pictures don't do it justice.

Nice cottage, parking is restricted. Local Co-op for shopping and 3 pubs and fish & chip shop. Nice area and pet friendly. There was no hoover or mop to clean up with though

Fantastic cottage with great attention to detail, and fantastically equipped. I have never stayed in a house where everything you could possibly want is exactly where you would expect to find it. Also kitchen knives were sharp, which is a real must for me ( sorry if that sounds weird) usually I am disappointed but not this time. Thanks so much for the effort that you have gone to in order to allow for every comfort in this house....i would definitely go back. Friendly landlords and a fantastic homely welcome with refreshments.

We enjoyed the cottage, and had a lovely restful holiday. The kitchen is very nice, but the living room/dining room is smaller than it seems in the photos. The dining part is a tight fit
