Picturesque coastal walks can be accessed from this barn conversion, St Mawes with its clover-leaf castle, built by Henry VIII is well worth a visit.

Set within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, high on the Roseland Landscape, these two converted barns afford spacious ground floor holiday accommodation, with commanding views across the countryside. Situated just 6 miles from St Mawes, they are 1 mile from a golden sandy beach and a short drive from many other beautiful beaches. Although completely self-contained, they may be booked together. The renowned Philliegh Cookery School is close by and a great experience. This idyllic part of South Cornwall has much to offer visitors, including a picturesque coastal walk leading to St Anthony Head, with its superb views of Falmouth and the Black Rock. St Mawes itself abounds with restaurants, pubs and shops, and its clover-leaf shaped castle, built by Henry VIII, is well worth a visit. In summer there are boat trips up the river, passing through beautiful wooded creeks. There is a 2-acre paddock available for guests to use, ideal for ball games and dog exercising. Shops 6 miles, pub, the famous Roseland Inn, ½ mile.

    I would have been a lot happier if there was no cobwebs in the house but they were in every room and my cleaning means you clean cobwebs away so this why my score is low as we have had cheaper places that did not have cobwebs We're every one said they very kind people man kept asking us to pack the car his way and as I am disabled my husband was parking with my door close to the house door

    We found the Long Barn to be a great place to have a holiday. Graham and Nicky were very welcoming and there was a field for the children to play in if they wanted. The Long Barn was easy to find with the directions. We bought a Fal river ticket in order to make the crossing of King Harry Ferry cheaper and had bought this on line before we travelled. It helped that I had been to Cornwall many times before and knew the area. Others may want to know about buying credits for crossings (We made 17 when we stayed). It was a good holiday.
