Tranquil location with walking from the door, with windsurfing and fishing at Siblyback Lake close by.

‘‘Character cottages occupying a tranquil setting on Cornwall’s coast...’’

Situated in a tranquil hamlet just 6 miles from the coast, the cottages have been converted from barns dating back to 1824 and retain many original features. They are set in an enclosed courtyard garden, each with its own barbecue area.
Tregrill Farm is ideally located for visiting the whole of Cornwall, South Devon, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, with countryside walks accessible directly from the door. The stunning South Cornwall Coast, with its attractive fishing villages such as Polperro and Looe as well as the famous South West coastal path, is a short drive away. The fishing port of Looe can also be reached by taking the scenic train journey from Liskeard (2 miles). The maritime city of Plymouth is only a 30 minutes’ drive away with the National Marine Aquarium and its historic Barbican district. The fantastic Eden Project (10 miles), Cotehele and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are amongst the many wonderful Cornish gardens and historic houses which are within easy reach of Tregrill. The Rame Peninsula, known as Cornwall’s Forgotten Corner, is close by with picturesque villages and quiet beaches and Whitsand Bay which is popular with surfers is only 8 miles away. Watersports such as windsurfing, canoeing and fishing can also be enjoyed at Siblyback Lake (5 miles); Adrenalin Quarry and Karting are less than a mile away. For indoor activities the cottages share the use of a games room with an antique snooker table (for over 16s only), table tennis, darts board and hi-fi. Shop and pub ½ mile.

Lovely cottage we all had an amazing time. Great location. Highly recommend staying here. Being self employed we did need to work whilst we were away and the cottages internet allowed us to do this.

We had a lovely stay at the New England Cottage. The converted barn was very spacious and had everything You needed. It really was home from home.washing machine / Dryer/ dishwasher. The whole place was decorated in pastel Tones and was warm and clean. We had a little private courtyard with a barbecue and table and chairs . Another plus was the games room with a full size pool table/table tennis and dart board where we enjoyed Many an evening. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay There again

The cottage is accessed by fairly bumping roads but its remoteness was perfect for us. Our party of 6 adults and 1 toddler found the space upstairs just right without feeling hemmed in. The bedrooms were nice and comfy. I shared the twin room with my friend and we did find it a bit cramped for 2 women and the associated suitcases and bags so the suitcases had to be stored in the car for our entire stay. The welcome pack was handy. The bathrooms were nice and clean and efficient. There was a fair amount of queuing for the bathrooms/ toilets with there being 7 of us. The toilet under the stairs is quirky but it does feel like you are in a cupboard and not so good if you are a bit claustrophobic. All in all the cottage is lovely and we really enjoyed ourselves. One point which the owners may like to take into account for future guests with toddler age children. The toddler in our party is 18 months old and quite small for his age and we were rather concerned with the stair gate, it felt a bit flimsy (he spent much of our stay shaking it just to prove the point!) and there is a fairly large gap to one side which our inquisitive climber could easily have fallen through. The beautiful real wood furniture is a real feature but again with an energetic toddler running around this did feel a bit like a hazard. We had a great time and it really felt like a home from home so we would definitely return.

Fantastic cottage but was a little out of the way. The games room was a good addition though. Good use of the space provided.

We had a lovely stay, the facilities were excellent and baby friendly, the games room really came in handy on a particularly bad weather day. Loved the Brasserie in Plymouth Gin Museum, the Barbican area of Plymouth well worth a visit. Beautiful coves and small inns with cosy fires make early spring weather less of an obstacle. Save the Eden Project for summer, a very expensive day out. Rick Stein fish restaurant worth the trip to Falmouth.

Beautiful, quaint, comfortable and relaxing holiday. Really enjoyed our stay and would return, no hesitation! Amazing games room for our 14-year-old (and dad!) to keep him occupied when we weren't off exploring and visiting the surrounding areas.
