Absolutely amazing!! Helen and her family were so welcoming and helpful. The church bells were so beautiful every morning and the cottage itself was lovely. It's a very quiet village, but was really nice to get away from London hustle and bustle. Would definitely go back!!

Buckland Monachorum is a very quiet and tranquil village. The local 'Pub Grub' was excellent and just a few yards away from Tregona. There is no village shop which is a minor disadvantage. Tregona itself is very well equipped and comfortably well furnished. Iain and Helen were extremely helpful and very welcoming. We felt immediately at home with them and they were very attentive to all our needs.

Zero contact with owner. Access up a dark, overgrown and poor path with several gates. Not pleasant when returning in late evening in the rain! Major problems finding somewhere to park.

We had a lovely stay at Tregona. It is a very comfortable, well-appointed cottage and I would not hesitate to return. And good value for money too. Regards Peter & Sue

A very smart, light, bright, spacious cottage. Very difficult to find from the instructions. Let down by detail: The fridge door did not close properly and was completely iced up on the back wall so that it did not cool food properly but food could get frozen if against the back. There was no salt (grinder empty), silver foil, bin bags for the kitchen bin, kitchen towel, dishwasher tablets - I would expect these to be in place. If I had known they would not be there, I could have brought them with us!

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; Tregona is a spacious, well-equipped 5* holiday cottage which is annually graded by our Regional Manager and part of the inspection process is to ensure that furnishings and facilities meet that grading. Upon reading your comments, we have checked the fridge and can confirm that it is in good working order and indeed it was checked prior to your arrival. It is unfortunate that you found the cottage difficult to locate. We have never received a comment of this nature before; however, we have reviewed the arrival details for the benefit of our future guests. Although Tregona is a self-catering cottage, we understand the needs of our guests and stock the cupboards with basic essentials such as salt and pepper. We also provide a welcome pack containing a bottle of wine, bread, assorted jams, butter, milk, tea, coffee and sugar. Bin bags and dishwasher tablets are located in the cupboard under the kitchen sink; however, we do not provide tin foil or kitchen roll. It is a shame that you did not bring this to our attention during your holiday as we would have been more than happy to advise you of where to locate these items. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoyed the welcome pack that we provided for your stay and the aforementioned did not spoil your enjoyment of our beautiful cottage.
