Everything was great. Especially the very welcome with fresh flowers in the living room and bedroom, the fresh milk in the refrigerator, the chocolate and of course the delicious lemon cake. It was hard to eat every day a part of it and not in one go ;-)

I stayed here in February 2017 with my girlfriend for 2 nights. Finding the place was surprisingly easy despite it being down 1 track lanes, the instructions provided guided us well. Upon entering the property we were very pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of wine, chocolates and a lemon drizzle cake waiting for us, along with info and instructions. This was a really lovely touch which made the world of difference in our opinion. The cottage itself was immaculate and well equipped, it was clear that it is very well looked after by the owners and that every detail had been thought of. The kitchen was huge and there was a small carton of milk in the fridge which again was a much appreciated extra. The bedroom was tastefully decorated with plenty of storage and a decently comfortable bed. The bathroom which is off of the bedroom was large and had plenty of towels, soap and even had dressing gowns which was another welcome surprise. The lounge was very cosy and served us well of an evening watching TV with a hot chocolate by the log fire. Location-wise it is conveniently positioned so that we were able to visit various places such as Bude, Boscastle and Tintagel over our 2 days. Overall, a great place to stay, we really wished that we could have stayed longer. Apologies for not writing in the guest book, we couldn't find a pen between us!

This cottage is a gem, in quiet surroundings. The property has has been restored to a high standard with quality equipment and a number of little extras. From the moment we walked on we loved this cottage. We looked forward to coming "home" at the end of each day.

A fantastic cottage, beautifully set up with everything you could need. The owners went to a lot of trouble to add in lots of extra's to make the cottage really special. The farm is lovely with very pretty gardens to look at.

We really appreciated the gifts of cake, flowers and wine that were waiting for us on arrival. The cottage was spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped - it had everything that we needed. We enjoyed going 'home' each evening and were sorry to leave!

We arrived late due to traffic problems on the M3 & A303, so were mighty pleased to see the welcoming pack of cake, chocolates, wine, milk in the fridge and plenty of tea bags, sugar, coffee etc. on hand to help relax us again. Before we´d even read about him in the guests book, Garfield the farm cat announced himself - through the kitchen window! - though over the week we managed to train him a bit to come in or at least miaow at the door! Otherwise it has to be one of the quietest farms in the UK; no male chickens announcing the dawn, hardly a "moo" from the resident cows, and barely any noise from the tractors! In fact, even at night it was so quiet and peaceful that the loudest things you heard were the wooden beams in the roof expanding/contracting after the heat of the day, and the heating making burbling noises; plus Garfield occasionally wanting to come in early-ish for a nap after a hard nights hunting in the adjacent garden & fields. This had to be by far the best equiped cottage we´ve ever stayed in; every time we thought of something we needed, we found it, from bottle opener to sieve to dust pan and brush. It even had more than ONE tea towel - how can you survive a week in a self-catering cottage with one tea towel? Plenty of people apparently think so! Fluffy dressing gowns, fluffier towels, hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang them from! The ONLY thing we could find fault with was that presumably the previous weeks guests had used several of the larger serving spoons, and two of them in the cutlery drawer still retained the remains of pasta (?) on them, which is why we gave them "only" a 9 instead of a 10. The host couple were friendly without at all being intrusive, and the guests in the other cottage, adjoining the farm, were so "invisible" that we only saw them once in the garden, and heard their car go up the drive once or twice. All in all a wonderful and extremely relaxing and enjoyable stay in a near perfect location. Deserves the english equivalent of the French "Hotel du Silence" label!
