The cottage is full of character and potential to be really wow. It is certainly big enough for a family of four to be comfortable and has good storage space. The dining conservatory is a lovely space to eat in whatever the weather. Nice additions such as wet suits if you need these. We had a few niggles which we felt reduced the score we could have given the property - cleanliness could be better (blind to bathroom mouldy, cobwebs, and dirty window sills / frames). Decor wise it needs a bit of tlc e.g radiator to bathroom, broken window openers. Facilities wise it was good - again little niggles like poor condition of rotary dryer outside, wobbly / rusty seating, no pegs, no hand dustpan and brush, and sadly a good quality double bed but so soft I didn't sleep well at all. Shower worked well and plenty of hot water. Didn't bother us as we took our own but choice of DVDs and games not really worth mentioning in advert.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your kind words. Having read your comments, and some others, I have decided to give the cottage a big cosmetic overhaul. It is being refurbished at the moment. New curtains, blinds, lampshades, head boards, sofas and all the other little bits have been ordered. The inside and outside is being painted as I write this. I have also replaced the bench outside and the rotary dryer in the garden. Thank you for bringing all of this to my attention. I hope you come back to see the work done - All the best.

Trecarian is more for younger people. We as pensioners could not walk to port Isaac Via the path from the cottage. Reading between the lines on the info sheet some of the locals would prefer walkers to stay away. The cottage was nice but the lounge seating was low and difficult to get up from. A small point but important to us, there were no oven gloves. The owners observations on places to eat were spot on, the lobsters we bought at the top of the hill were the best I've eaten. We enjoyed our stay but a couple of niggles. .

Response on behalf of the Owner; I hope you had a good time and thank you so much for your comments. I apologise for not making it clearer that the walk from the cottage to Port Gaverne/Port Isaac was a little on the challenging side. I will make that clearer in the welcome folder. Also I wanted to let you know that the whole cottage is being refurbished as I write this and two new sofas have been ordered and some oven gloves. I'm glad you found the restaurant recommendations helpful. That is good to know. Thank you again - All the best.
