Trecarian is more for younger people. We as pensioners could not walk to port Isaac Via the path from the cottage. Reading between the lines on the info sheet some of the locals would prefer walkers to stay away. The cottage was nice but the lounge seating was low and difficult to get up from. A small point but important to us, there were no oven gloves. The owners observations on places to eat were spot on, the lobsters we bought at the top of the hill were the best I've eaten. We enjoyed our stay but a couple of niggles. .

Delightful cottage with in excellent location. Old-fashioned and comfortable. Pub almost next door. Walk to Port Gaverne and Port Isaac round the corner. Lots of little extras like wet suits and crab lines.

What a lovely little cottage in a great location! There are beautiful beaches just a short drive away and the Eden project also. Sadly though the cleanliness of the cottage was very poor which we have reported. The oven had not been cleaned (burnt cheese possibly from pizza on the oven tray and shelves) so we had to clean the oven and various utensils before we used them. The house smelt a bit damp despite it being August and the hard floors were dusty. Some of the sheets had light stains on and one single bed had no mattress cover. The sofa throws were stained in places so we turned them over to sit on. We had to wash the bath mat regularly, not from us getting it dirty but from it getting dirty on the bathroom floor! The children loved it though, especially the lane where they could safely scooter! The outdoor area was great for hosing down wetsuits and the garden was also great for drying washing. We generally loved our stay, just thought it was a shame to have to do so much cleaning etc!

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you and your children had a great stay. I have taken on board your comments and have made some changes in the cottage. We have got new throws and covers. We are also using a new linen and sheet provider, and we have a new cleaner and housekeeper coming each week. Any problems with cleanliness should now be sorted. Thank you again for your review. All the best.
