A perfect cottage for a quiet break. The owners made us feel very welcome and we appreciated all the little extra touches including flowers and Welsh Cakes on arrival. Lots of places to visit locally. The sheep and chickens were great and we enjoyed feeding them each morning. We will most definitely be back.

The best holiday cottage we have stayed at. The rooms are very spacious . Each bedroom has its own bathroom. This is an ideal cottage if you want to get away from the noise of a town. Walks around the immediate area are not good; there is only a narrow road. However gorgeous scenery is not far away by car and the supermarket at Monmouth is a 20 minute drive. The pet sheep are in the next field, and the chickens run about freely. The landlords are very friendly and helpful.

The Cowshed is slightly remote, but that was explained in the cottage details, so we knew about that. But there was nothing local. The Cottage was very comfortable, nice and quiet. Just what we wanted.

Having had several cottage holidays in recent years I must say this is the nicest cottage we have stayed in. The cottage is beautiful and a lovely place to stay. All three bedrooms are a good size and extremely comfortable. All en-suite and no worries about who gets which bedroom as they are all equally great. It's in a good position to access many activities. We had lovely weather and were able to sit outside and enjoy the view! Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming leaving us some ginger muffins was a lovely touch (and delicious). I'd definitely recommend staying here and hope to be able to return in the future.

Overall quite clean but we marked it down for cleanliness as some cutlery and crockery had food remains on it. The soil stacks in the middle of the bathroom floors were not an attractive feature. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous place, the owners were very attentive and the attention to detail within the premises was fantastic! Very homely and incredibly comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to others - we stayed for Christmas and they had even provided us with a Christmas Tree and Table trimmings for our Christmas Dinner - fabulous welcome pack with chocolates, mince pies, tea, coffee, milk, butter etc.
