This is a lovely cottage, in a rural location - well maintained and most welcoming. Very well equipped with many extras - hairdryer, hand soap in all bathrooms, dishwasher tablets, toddler toys, books etc. Furnishings are an eclectic mix but all of a good quality and beds were very comfortable. Plenty of storage and all rooms are a good size - we particularly enjoyed the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Towels were plentiful and all linens are good quality. Showers were spacious and worked very well - with four different head settings. The heating worked well and the cottage was lovely and warm, even without the wood burner, and there was plenty of hot water. Wifi was excellent although there was very limited mobile signal for calls or texts. Owners were very friendly and we enjoyed feeding the sheep and chickens. There is lots to do in the surrounding area and we had a really lovely holiday with our teenagers. We all agreed we would be very happy to return. Tip - if you shop at Morrisons or Sainsbury's in Ross, before coming to the cottage - don't buy eggs. They are available from the owners at a reasonable price.

This is lovely place to stay! Very well-equipped with lots of lovely touches - like the welcome pack ( banana muffins for us as well as milk and apple juice) and flowers in all rooms. Bedrooms and bathrooms very comfortable and large. Owners lovely and friendly - checked that we were ok but not intrusive after that. Log burner great for chilly evenings. We were lucky with the weather (early March) and were able to sit on patio and enjoy the views, lovely sunsets and views over the hills. The chickens and sheep just added to enjoyable experience! This is nothing with cottage but if you want a pub lunch they are often closed (this was out of season) and are quite a drive away. We did Symond's Yat, the Mappa Mundi and Hereford Cathedral and, whilst the men went fishing/golfing, we went to an auction in Ross-on-Wye - a great experience! An excellent break for us all!

Good sized bedrooms & living/dining areas. Parking for 3 cars a little optimistic - one big estate car left only room for a couple of tiny cars. Internet access OK, but no mobile reception and no land line, so not an option if you need a break with a couple of days working.

Holiday was great. Accommodation even better than the pictures showed. We went during the most expensive period. However, we were not disappointed. People who owned it were lovely.

A great location for a small family reunion. 3 generously sized double rooms and ample living and eating space. Attentive hosts but left us to get on with things once they knew we were well settled. The hens kept us amused also.

Lovely property, very comfortable and great welcome pack. Friendly owners. Property a little out of the way for pubs and shops but not too much of a problem. Very peaceful and quiet away from the normal hustle and bustle of life. We like to stay at farm cottages and this was certainly one of the best we have tried for comfort and friendly farm animals!

Beautiful, light and airy property, well equipped, very nice welcome of milk, apple juice, and ginger cake. It would have helped in advance if we had known that it was a septic tanks and that there were certain restrictions, on the use of certain chemicals etc, It would have, been easier to find out if it had been mentioned near the kitchen sink, and not in the bathroom. As a disabled person, I use a walking sick all the time and at times a wheelchair, it would have also helped if a notice was on the bathroom doors that there was a small step, twice I tripped on this, luckily not hurting myself .

The Cowshed has been beautifully renovated with quality furnishings and fittings. A lot of thought has gone into making it look good and work well. Our friendly hosts were available if needed but were unobtrusive. They provided a very generous welcome pack, including THE most yummy cake. As an adult family group, we really appreciated the luxury of this cottage: the bedrooms and en suites were of good size, the kitchen was well equipped and the lounge comfortable. The Cowshed was really easy to live in and our hosts had thought of everything, including a couple of boxes of children's toys and books - a lovely touch. The outlook from the lounge and patio was rural and calming, providing views of green fields and animals, with distant farmhouses. Nearer to hand we could enjoy the sheep and hens, both surprisingly friendly. We would definitely recommend this holiday cottage.
