Really lovely cottage. Only complaint would be a dog over at the owners home which barked and whined all night for the whole of our stay. A shame really as otherwise brilliant!

Great place, plenty of space, all the amenities you could need. We only had 6 of us there but if you filled it it would be great value for money and a great place for a social weekend with friends. Location wise is not walking distance to anything (but you get the benefit of glorious peace and quiet in a pretty setting) but only a short drive from everything we needed. So location score is a matter of your priorities! Highly recommended.

Lovely few days at The Travellers Rest. Clean, comfortable and roomy cottage. The owner was extremely helpful with a wi-fi issue. The only down side was the very poor lighting in the living room. A very good choice if you want peace and tranquility

We had a wonderful stay at Travellers Test, beautiful location and a lovely spacious house! The balcony was especially lovely and enjoyed lots of evenings sitting outside.

This was our fourth visit to Travellers Rest as a family we really enjoy the house and location although we were slightly surprised that the heating and hot water was controlled remotely

With regards to the kitchen and preparation of food. This property was able to sleep 10, however, the fridge freezer was inadequate and needed updating. This was the same for the cooking utensils, pots and pans, toaster ....... Lots of knives and forks! The sleeping arrangements was perfect for our family however the bed linen was extremely poor and did not fit the old beds. The photographs of the outside garden areas were misleading as we imagined that the hills were accessible from the cottage. Positively, the cottage was warm, considering the gaps in the front door and the unhinged latches that did not secure the door, unless locked with the key.

An excellent self contained cottage in a good location. 6 adults and 5 children were comfortably accommodated with plenty of living space. We really enjoyed our stay and found the owners very responsive when we needed anything.
