We have stayed in three different cottages in Edinburgh in the past 5 years and Torduff has been the best by quite a long way. Being in the Pentland Hills Park area it felt like you were in the countryside and not on the edge of a big city. It was very peaceful and relaxing to stay here while still close enough to catch a bus into the city centre to see all the sights, which are especially good during the Edinburgh festival. It is a well maintained cottage with all that one could need. There is parking available just outside the cottage on a quiet road. There is also an Alpaca farm just opposite the cottage which adds an added dimension not usually seen in Edinburgh. There is a sitting out area with a table and chairs where you can eat outside when the weather allows. There are also two swings and a clothes line in the garden area.

A great place to stay - lovely countryside for walks and with a car was able to visit the finge. Would recommend to others. Very reasonable. Can be cold at times but enough heaters to make up for it.

Great holiday, the cottage is perfect for walks on the front door into the hills. Local bus service means there is no need to drive into town. Also village a short walk away has shops and pubs serving good food.

A lovely property - clean and comfortable and with wonderful views over the hills, yet with a very convenient and frequent bus service into Edinburgh. The best of both worlds! We never go to the same holiday home twice but would definitely consider coming here again. The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful but not at all intrusive.

The best holidays un the best location. The cottage was everything we were looking for, spacious, clean, cosy,.... and with the mountains at our doorstep but at the same time very easy access to the city centre. The landlady was very wellcoming and helpfull explaining everything the day we arrived, overall we were very sad to leave whe our holiday was over 😊

If peace and quiet and gorgeous scenery are what you're looking for, this is a great place to stay. Lots of great hiking in the Pentland hills and fields of horses, ponies, and alpacas across the road. We loved it!
