Really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen had all the basics required for a short stay. No dish rack though was a little strange. There aren't a huge number of dishes so need to keep washing them and the glasses provided were all quite small, luckily we'd brought our own pint glasses as we're quite prolific water drinkers! The shower wasn't the cleanest when we arrived (mucky looking water spots on the glass door and a couple of pinky mildew spots on the grouting) but other than that everything was clean and tidy, I can only assume they'd somehow managed to miss cleaning it altogether as it didn't match with the standard of cleaning elsewhere. Our main gripe was that the directions given for finding the cottage aren't very clear (it's easy to miss the school for example as it's not well signposted until you're outside it!) feel they could do with providing a map and maybe a signpost in Pensilva so you know you're heading in the right direction, especially given that satnav is utterly useless in the area. However, one quick call to the caretaker got us there within minutes. We would also have liked to have had access to wifi at the cottage so we could plan our activities a little better, but really that's just a minor issue and the stunning location made up for the minor shortcomings Overall the cottage was clean and very comfortable, there's ample parking just outside and there's a small shared laundry area across the courtyard which was very useful - meant we didn't take home many dirty clothes which is always a bonus! There were some building works taking place when we visited, not that it affected us as we were up and out early each day but it goes to show that they're reinvesting in the area which is always a good sign I think

Such a tranquil location, very quite and secluded but not far from local shops. Owners could invest in some oven gloves and a baking tray/sheet as cooking equipment limited. A couple of comfy outdoor chairs wouldn't go amiss either. Bed was incredibly comfortable and both slept like logs the whole week leaving us feeling revitalised for returning to work. Overall it felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Had a good holiday in Cornwall . The position of the parlour was good for us traveling around north Cornwall. The parlour needs a little tlc and a few bits of crockery and new towels but very comfortable and easy to live in.
