Impressive and spacious new build. Look out for the trip hazard in the centre of the main living space! We think it will eventually be a fireplace, but my partner nearly broke their toe on it. Lacking in a dishwasher which made staying there slightly harder work than desirable. Now time to start filling in the settlement cracks.

This was a lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country. There was a strange marble centrepiece on the floor which didn't appear to serve a purpose? The reasons I marked it down was that the leg on one of the sofas in the living room area was damaged, the freezer was up on the 1st floor which is not convenient, no dish washer and finally there were no cleaning products left to clean up so had to purchase them however left for the next occupant.

A lovely house in a quiet environment. Very comfortable and a great size. plenty of room for 6 adults although we were slightly disappointed that the scenery wasn't the same as the pictures in the advert. Great place for a relaxing break.

Timaru is a very nice modern house on two floors situated in a small complex of buildings about 2 miles above Rosemarkie on a hill. The view down to the Moray Firth is spectacular. The rooms are spacious and well appointed - a large en-suite double bedroom and a utility room upstairs and three further bedrooms, a good bathroom and a very large dining kitchen downstairs. All the furniture and fittings are of a high standard ; our only rather surprising disappointment was that no soap or dish towels were provided - unusual in our experience but easily put right with a visit to a shop. Further up the hill are the excellent Red Rock bike tracks and down in Rosemarkie a very good beach, a pleasant beach cafe and useful shops ; Fortrose, which is very close by, is also an attractive town with good shopping facilities. The house offers a 20% discount at the Station Hotel in Avoch, a few miles away, and the meals there were well priced (very well-priced with the discount), tasty and with very generous portions. It's a quiet area, but when it was wet, which it was a bit, we were able to go to Inverness, nine miles away, where the children swam, skated, biked on the very good concrete bike tracks and trampolined. Perhaps, though they got greatest pleasure from the spectacular rope swing beside the little stream at one end of Rosemarkie, which they visited often - and it was free! We were very lucky on the final day of our stay to have a good view of dolphins at Chanonry Point in Fortrose - a popular viewing point in a very beautiful situation on the Firth. In all, it was a good week, and the house was a very good base from which to enjoy it.
