Description

Gaelic for ‘House of Birds’ this pretty cottage is set within 5 acres yet just 1 mile from the seaside.

Tigh Nan Eoin is Gaelic for House of Birds and this picture-postcard pretty stone cottage is aptly named, tucked away in a quiet lane with undisturbed bird life all around. Set in 5 acres of grounds this original stone croft cottage has been completely gutted and then painstakingly restored by its current owners and now provides the best of modern living whilst retaining a truly olde worlde ambiance. The cottage lounge is a real delight, with exposed stone wall and deep window sills. The bright modern kitchen has built-in units throughout and plenty of room for dining. Steep cottage stairs lead up to two beautifully presented double bedrooms (some height restriction due to original sloping ceilings). There is an immaculate modern shower room downstairs.
Situated on the owner’s croft at the end of small lane that adjoins open moorland, it is a walkers’, nature lovers and outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Pine martin, otters, seals and a myriad of bird life are all seen in the area.

Ground Floor:
The property has oil central heating and comprises:
Lounge: with electric fire, freeview TV/DVD and radio/CD
Kitchen/diner: with electric cooker, microwave, fridge (with ice-box), dishwasher and washer/dryer; dining table and chairs.
Shower room: with shower cubicle, WC and wash basin

First Floor:
Bedroom 1: with double bed. Some restricted height room due to original sloping ceilings.
Bedroom 2: with two single beds. Some restricted height room due to original sloping ceilings.

All fuel and power included. Bed linen and towels supplied. Enclosed garden with gravel area and grass. Cottage is set in five acres of croft land. Off road parking for two cars.

Just returned from a perfect stay at this idyllic cottage. We wanted a few days away for walks and scenery and this cottage was a perfect base!! Everything thought of, gorgeous little cottage with anything you could think you would need. Welcome basket was a lovely touch. The owners were very welcoming and friendly! The area is just breathtaking and we will 100% be returning. Highly recommend
