Moycullen is just 3 miles and has shops, pubs, restaurants and music sessions in the evenings. Bearna, with its award-winning restaurants and sandy beaches, is just 7 miles along a breathtaking country road. Galway City is renowned for its festivals, museums, theatres, art galleries and the panoramic promenade in Salthill. Being just off the N59 gives you access to Connemara and beyond. Places to visit include Lough Inagh Valley, Kylemore Abbey and Gardens or the towns of Clifden and Westport. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

    Great week was had, ideal base to explore the local area by foot or bike. Warm welcome from Mary and very helpful. The house is very well equip and soon felt like home. Planning a return trip soon. Highly recommended
