Description

This property is in a superb location for walking in the Brecon Beacons, with walks from the doorstep.

Nestled peacefully in a wooded valley in the Brecon Beacons National Park, this traditional Welsh holiday cottage, adjoining the owner’s home, provides a perfect base for family or couples looking to explore the rugged mountains of Mid Wales. The former smithy has retained much of its original charm and character, and lots of welcoming touches have been added for that unforgettable experience. The heartbeat of Brecon Beacons is on your doorstep, and offers magnificent walks and trails for guests to explore, including the iconic shimmering lake and peak of Llyn Y Fand Fach (Lady of the Lake). The charming market towns of Llandelio and Llandovery are just a short drive away and are rich with elegant restaurants, boutique shops and traditional Welsh pubs. Discover the enchanted sites dotted around the county, including Carreg Cennen Castle, Dinefwr 12th castle and the heritage park hidden in 800 acres of parkland with wild deer running free. A beautiful cosy cottage in a lovely peaceful setting. Well equipped and finished to a high standard. A place to get away from it all!

Response on behalf of the owner:- Hi Deborah and Family, Thank you for your kind review of our cottage. We are so glad that you all enjoyed your stay. It is a shame that the local amenities section of the review affects our overall score, we will never do well on this part of it, since we are in the country away from pubs and shops etc. We hope that you will consider us in the future. Kind Regards, Nick, Jo and Alys

We had a great time staying at Three Horseshoes - it's very stylish and comfortable - it's worth staying here for the shower alone! A lovely relaxing place to stay, it is close to the road but at least you can get to places more quickly than being up one of the many tiny lanes around and there's a lot of wonderful places to get to! Nick, Jo and Alys are lovely and very helpful (when you've crunched your car!) , nothing is too much trouble. A lovely base for exploring the area from...or...just...chillin!!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are so pleased that you enjoyed your 6 week stay with us. It was a delight to have you as neighbours for this extended period, and hope that it made things easier during your very stressful time. Thank you for your kind review, it is very much appreciated.
