I hate to be negative and wish I could say it was as the pictures look(bright and clean) but it isn't(they need to update the pictures on the website). It is over 4 floors with the bathroom at the very top which if you've got small children isn't ideal as stairs are a little steep. Also, you have to close the blind everytime you want to use the toilet as its opposite a big window, and also when using the shower or bath as people walking by and in the cottage behind can see everything your doing!! The kitchen is dark, feels damp and there was a constant stench coming from the pump under the kitchen sink.If you want hot water you have to wait an hour for it to heat up although the shower was electric and so just needed to pull a cord to turn it on..As for cleanliness,it needs a THOROUGH clean,it appears to have been quite a while since it's had one,as there are cobwebs all over and dust was visible throughout and if you walked around in bare feet they would be black within minutes. We tried to hoover through with the hoover that is there but it wasn't much use.The main and second bedroom are nice and bright but the living room and kitchen are in need of attention. We came with family and their cottages were VERY clean, had wifi(which isn't that important but if you've got teenagers it's a bonus)and was much cheaper than what we paid, and in my opinion it was NOT worth what we paid..DEFINITELY would not stay there again...

Response on behalf of the owner:- Thank you for your feedback. Because there's no mains gas in the village the water has to be heated electrically and it just needs a little while to heat up. Apologies for the cleanliness it must have been an oversight of our caretaker who is usually fantastic. We'll look into this. Thanks for letting us know about the hoover too there's a replacement on the way.
