This was by far one of the best cottages we have stayed in. A real home from home and a perfect place to re-charge the batteries.

Cottage is ideally situated in a quiet and friendly village. We used it as a base for a golfing holiday. Local pub is 200 yards away and does good food as does Boyne Hotel in the village. Given keys on arrival and encouraged to feel at home. Walking in to kitchen with Aga was a delight.

Loved everything about this cottage! Pity we had such a lot of rain but it was a lovely refuge from the storm. Plan to book again next year in the hope of better weather.

We stayed at the White Ship at the begining of June and had a brilliant week. Such a lovely, quirky house, we absolutely loved it. The location was perfect, right on the front by the harbour with views out to sea. I doubt there's many places you can stay where you can watch dolphins swim by from the window whilst you're sitting in the kitchen drinking a cup of tea! Portsoy is a very unspoilt little place, we were lucky and had really good weather all week so did some nice walks and spent a lot of time sitting on the harbour wall staring at the sea. very relaxing! The White Ship felt like home from the minute we got there, the welcome we got from the manager (and the locals too) was warm and inviting. Six of us stayed there and the house was big enough for everyone to have their own space for a week. The kitchen was our favourite place, we spent more time there than anywhere all week! We gathered round the breakfast bar (or as one of our party called it - 'The Social Island') every evening. We had such a good time there, eating, drinking, singing (!!! luckily no neighbours), the aga makes the house so warm and cosy we never wanted to leave.... For quieter moments the house was full of interesting books, dvds and has a lovely terraced garden with views out to sea. For us The White Ship was perfect, i came away with very fond memories of the best week spent with the bestest friends in the best holiday cottage ever!
