We had an amazing family holiday at the White Ship. We were greeted by the very friendly housekeeper Elaine who was very helpful and told us to treat the house as if it was our own. The house had everything we needed from plenty of cups & plates to hundres of books covering all different genres. We have never been to such a well equipped house before, they even had a ball thrower for our labradors tennis ball as we had left ours at home by mistake. The garden has very steep steps built into the hill directly behind the house, but the terrace and garden above were stunning offereing fantastic views over the harbour and a great place to watch the world go by. We spent most of our time at the house in the gorgeous kitchen, cooking on the Aga and drinking wine. we loved watching the world go by from the window. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away and is amazing at low tide, very safe. Our 10 year old even donned her wetsuit and went for a swim (the 1st week of April!). Our dog loved it, lots of walks in all directions. The town itself is lovely and we spent 3 full days without having to even use the car, just off for walks and buying ice cream from the fab Portsoy Ice Cream! We would definately visit again!

This was by far one of the best cottages we have stayed in. A real home from home and a perfect place to re-charge the batteries.

Cottage is ideally situated in a quiet and friendly village. We used it as a base for a golfing holiday. Local pub is 200 yards away and does good food as does Boyne Hotel in the village. Given keys on arrival and encouraged to feel at home. Walking in to kitchen with Aga was a delight.
