This is a glorious period property directly overlooking the historic harbour at Charlestown and just 50 yards from the beach.

The White House is a delightful double fronted and spacious period cottage, overlooking the historic port and coast of Charlestown. Perfect for extended families, couples or friends all year round. Combining original and contemporary features and just 50 yards from the beach, The White House has underfloor heating on the ground floor, slate floors, drench-head showers and crisp, white bed linen, ensuring guests are pampered in comfortable accommodation. You will also find a piano in the sitting-room. There is a surprisingly large private enclosed rear garden, providing decking and patio areas, an extensive lawn, football posts and children’s climbing frame, and spectacular views over St Austell bay. The garden is reached from the first floor landing area via double doors and an unusual walk way/bridge. Several steps lead through the flower bed area to the open extensive lawn and top garden. The house provides flexible and very comfortable accommodation, with four spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus a ground floor shower room. The beach, coastal paths and Charlestown’s historic port are right on your doorstep. Charlestown is a famous film and TV location used in many productions including the ’Poldark’ TV series. You will find some great places to eat, including quality restaurants, tea rooms and great pubs, all within a short walking distance from the house. There are many attractions nearby, including Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Centre, the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House and Garden and Kidzworld. St Austell railway station is a 10-minute drive and Newquay airport is approximately 30 minutes away. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
