We found the cottage to be comfortable and very clean with everything we needed. The property has been well thought out and presented. The location was ideal as it was near enough to Dumfries with plenty to see in the surrounding areas and far enough into the country to be peaceful. We have to say a huge thank you to the owners for helping us out with an emergency situation they were very supportive and very thoughtful and kind.

A beautiful conversion that comes with all mod cons. We would dearly like to have taken the kitchen away with us. The property was exceptionally well heated and the log burner was an added bonus. The owners were most attentive, going above and beyond the call on at least a couple of occasions. Although there are no shopping amenities close-by there are plenty to be had within a short drive. There is also a wide variety of trips to be made whether inland or by the sea. Our various visitors concur with our own comments.

Stayed here recently with the family and wee Yorkie. Everything very sweet and very smart. Nicely rural, and fine for me in a wheelchair too!! We did have a very enjoyable time at the cottage and would recommend it to others. Very comfortable beds and the property was fitted with everything one could want for their holiday.

We absolutely loved the Wee Byre. Stunning location only 10 minutes drive from Dumfries. It's absolutely perfect, in every way. Lots of thoughtful touches. The kitchen is really homely, a real hub with space for the whole family. Lovely high spec interior. luxurious bedding and really comfy beds!! We didn't want to come home. Brilliant cottage owners who are really friendly and attentive Perfect!!

This is our second stay at the Wee Byre and definitely not our last. It has to be the best place we have ever stayed! So much space for everyone, has everything you need with a fantastic games room (where we spent most of our time!). The garden is secure for dogs which gives you peace of mind. Elaine and Tommy are fantastic hosts and on hand if you need anything. Highly recommended.

Excellent place. Right on the doorstep of Dumfries for supermarkets etc whilst still keeping the feel of being in the middle of nowhere. Cottage itself was perfect. Would happily go back in a heartbeat.

We had a brilliant week on honeymoon in The Wee Byre. The cottage was beautiful inside and out! We especially loved the big, well equipped kitchen, the patio doors leading out into the garden, the pool table and the wood burning stove. Our two dogs loved it too! The place was spotless when we arrived and there was a lovely welcome pack. The property was in a convenient location only 10 minutes from the nearest supermarket and just 15 minutes from the centre of Dumfries. Despite being so close to amenities it was in a lovely, quiet, secluded location. The owners, Tommy and Elaine, were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We would love to stay at The Wee Byre again and will no doubt return in the future!

Beautiful location. The Wee Byre is a wee gem and we would definitely return. It has everything you could wish for from a holiday let and really felt like a home from home. There are so many great walks from the 7 stanes to beaches and something for all ages. Tom & Elaine have thought of everything from the pool table/tennis court etc right through to the super dog friendly garden. We have already recommended this to friends and hope to return soon.
