Description

This Grade II listed, oak timber framed property with a sauna and a gym, is a superb base from which to explore this unspoilt corner of England.

This beautiful, detached barn conversion fully retains the sense of space and interest. The Threshing Barn is a magnificent Grade II listed oak timber framed building situated on the slopes of the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its renovation was completed to the highest architectural and environmental conservation standard. This beautiful barn retains the unique spaciousness and tranquility of the original timber building. The living/dining room has furniture made from the old barn timbers, as well as boasting original art work and the comfort of an underfloor heated flagstone floor. There is a south facing, wide glazed area running the whole length of the barn with three double doors leading out onto the secluded, private, stone walled patio garden. From here, there are views of the Malvern Hills and the sounds of the adjacent stream. Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester are approximately half an hour away, making the barn an ideal base from which to attend festivals, the Three Counties Showground and excellent rail links to Birmingham and London. There are many lovely gardens to explore and enjoy in this unspoilt corner of England. In an adjacent building there is a laundry room, sauna and gym. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Ground floor: Living/dining room with double sofa bed/kitchen with breakfast bar. Shower room with toilet. First floor: 1 double bedroom (6ft zip and link, can be twin).

Underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Washing machine and tumble dryer in outbuilding. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed garden with patio, sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Electric car charging point. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Gym and sauna in outbuilding. No smoking.

For us the need was for peace and quiet rather than a base for activities. Suited us perfectly.

Barn itself ok but needs maintaining outside. i.e. Some of the doorsteps were rotten and quite deep holes in the patio. Plants not attended to and needed tlc eg watering and pruning. Outside bench also rotting and unsafe. Felt it needed a woman's touch and more of a colour scheme to make it homely.
