Lovely converted barn, very comfortable and quiet. Really enjoyed the upside down layout and the open plan living area upstairs. We went with our three kids, the older ones very happy that there was wifi that worked well, and they all enjoyed playing with the two farm dogs Jasper and Jerry! Jerry practically moved in with us and there were tears when we had to leave him behind :-) All facilities needed for a home from home, with full kitchen, laundry, etc. Three bathrooms a bonus for our family of 5 when getting ready in the morning. Only thing missing was a hoover! A week without one with a 2 year old in the house is tough, we eventually bought a dustpan and brush from the Tesco which is very handy a couple of miles down the road. Only thing my wife didn't enjoy was the drive down the lane to get to the farm each time. Barely 1 car wide, with high hedges touching the car on each side, and plenty of blind turns. Almost had a crash with a mini which was going too fast in the opposite direction! We didn't get on that well in Bideford, we struggled to find nice places to eat out close to the house, so ate in more than we normally would on holiday. We really enjoyed Saunton Sands, great surf and lovely beach about 25 minutes from the house. We also went to Ilfracombe one day, nice place and worth a visit. If we went back to this area we would definitely return to the Threshing Barn, and would recommend it to family and friends.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, I'm not sure where the vacuum was, there is a Dyson in the walk in wardrobe so not sure where it was during your stay. The hedges in the lane have been trimmed now but we are not allowed to trim them until 1st August due to the nesting birds, we do appreciate that it make a huge difference, thankfully it's not a busy lane.

This is an excellent holiday home, well appointed, comfortable and stunning views across the Torridge river. The welcome with a cream tea was a lovely touch by the owners Tony and Sharon.

An excellent holiday home, brilliant for children to. We went with my parents and our 7 year old daughter, our 3 year old son and our 1 year old daughter and it was great. The children had plenty of room to play and lots of exploring to do around the farm. We liked being in a secluded location, and to be honest we didn't really notice much noise from the farm at all during our week stay. The owners are very welcoming and we had a very nice cream tea supplied on arrival. Loved it so much we are going back next year.
