A very sparse welcome pack after a 5 hour journey was disappointing. A small bottle of milk would have been nice.

We enjoyed our stay at the Stables location very good and the area is very quiet,it was clean and comfortable ,a nice welcome with tea and cakes and a vase of wild flowers Only one minor complaint mirror over toilet in bathroom and couldn't see to put my make-up on , left my own hand mirror at home !!A free standing mirror on the window ledge over the sink would have been appreciated .

I try hard to find fault but am quite unable to do so. The welcome from Pauline and Peter is quite exceptional. The only reason I would not recommend The Stables to others is to stop too many people finding out about this gem of a holiday cottage. My wife and myself have stayed there three times now and will most certainly visit again next year.

A lovely village location, perfectly situated for those wanting to explore the area surrounding and very close to the Dorset borders. Great places to visit within easy driving distance including many National Trust properties, Haynes International Motor Museum and Fleet Air Museum, Forde Abbey and Gardens, the Cerne Abbas Giant and Minterne Himalayan Gardens. Really peaceful cottage, well equipped and the owners are unobtrusive but there if you need them.

An ideal location both for peace and quiet in delightful surroundings and with very friendly and pleasant hosts. It is also ideally situated for easy access to explore many of the county's beautiful locations. This little treasure is marvellous for those with mobility issues, especially wheelchairs, and especially safe for well behave dogs. The property is really clean and well furnished, and I highly recommend it to couples of all ages. We will certainly go again !
